JLT OIL Catch Can gains?
#4
The only "possible"- "gains" you could ever get from an OCC is the lack of blowby in the system decreasing your octane levels and causing DET.
The mods you have listed barely warrant an OCC, but should you go FI, or do a full NA build, then you will have plenty of benefits because the blowby isn't robbing you of "power" as is more prevalent in FI setups.

Thanks Vector. That is what I assumed. I only wondered because by always keeping the octane level consistently at it's peak by not allowing any blow-by in the intake. Therefore, possibly showing an additional HP or 2 on the dyno.

It gets you zilch on the dyno. It will, however, give you a net gain in about 100,000 miles, as without the catch can, in that time the intake will be so coated in oil that you will lose quite a few horses on the dyno. The catch can will prevent you from losing those.
So in a way, sure, it'll get you power - just not now.

But I'm into the longevity aspect for my NA.

Get it! For 119 bucks you can't beat the purpose of it. Put it on, go out a beat up on your car for an hour, check out the oil in it, and then say Holy Batcrap why didn't I buy one of these a month ago.
