JEGS H-pipe and over the axle pipes

Has anyone one here used the JEGS H-pipe and over the axle pipes?
It includes everything between the cats and the axle back portion.
I currently have GT500 axle backs ( which I like the sound) but would like it a little louder, and I would like to gain some performance, so this kits looks real good to me especially since it costs less than $230!
It aluminized steel and 3" mandrel bent!
Mainly concerned about figment issues!
Thanks all!

Yeah fitment is important with exhaust parts like this. Price is good & jegs is a familiar & known brand. If you go for it let us know how the fitment is.

I researched this and I believe Heartthrob makes these for Jeg's. The Heartthrob on AM gets fairly poor reviews on fitment, but the ones for Jeg's are very affordable. I'm considering it, except the car I have came with Flowmaster Hushpower and I'm not sure how that will sound without the resonators. But just so you know, they are made by Heartthrob.

I thought it was made by heartthrob!
I know it gets poor reviews for fitment but for that price I would not mind working on it for a afternoon!
(I have a welder and chop saw, so I'm not afraid).
I think I'm going to order it next week!
I will keep everyone posted!

Awesome! That's a bargain. My H-pipe alone, cost more than that. Your GT500's will have a new attitude! Congrats.

That's an awesome price fore res delete pipes and H-pipe. I'm very curious how fitment works out for you and what the sound is like. Videos please!

I want to change my OTA pipes too. This is the cheapest option out there (other than finding GT500 take offs).

Yeah bet my GT500's would sound off a little more w/res delete! Hoping the fitment here is good! I'll probably jump on this if it is.

OK OK!
I got the parts today at about 11:30am
Test drove it at 5:30pm!
Now for the review!
I did everything by myself.
( I recommend having some one help you, extra hands will make lining up the new system much easier!)
To start with if you are doing this at home like I did and you do not want to cut up the stock parts to remove them you will need to get the car about 18" off the ground with the axle fully drooped out!
Taking off old parts simple!(except getting old over the axle pipes out!)
New kit is a big difference especially when sitting next to each other,
stock system bottles down to 2 1/4" in spots and goes up to 2 3/4" at other spots with kinks all over the place.
New kit is a full 3" mandrel bends smooth through out.
Fit was off, I had to cut 1 1/2" off the H pipe but not a big deal!
And because of all the joints it's like working with two pieces of spaghetti!
I used extra jacks and wood blocks to hold parts in place!
The fit is tight with the 3" pipes around the axle and lines around the back of the car. For piece of mind I wraped the exaust pipe with some header wrap around that area so nothing gets too hot. ( just makes me fell better)
It does sound louder and meaner under full throttle!
Not much louder at idle and under 2,000 RPM!
It took me about 6hrs. Including changing my oil and rotating my tires while it was up in the air!
Over all for under $230 it's a great deal!
If any one has any questions I'm here for you!

Sounds good except for needing to cut the H pipe. Do you have any before, after video clips?

No video clips, sounds just like a guy I know that has GT500 mufflers with resonators cut out with straight pipes put in!

I detailed it today and drove it some more, definitely can feel a power difference!
And I love the sound now!

Thanks for the info! Having to cut the H pipe kind of sucks. For the price though may still be worth it. HMMM what to do??

If I was to do the install again I would assemble the old pipes back together out side of the car and the new pipes to get some rough messurments to check the lengths.
I had read that people had to cut the H pipe section but I wanted to make sure, easier to cut some off than not have enough!
It was not a big deal just added a couple more steps and a little more time.
Also when I cut the pipes I used one of the clamps as a guide to make sure my cuts were square not on a angle.
For the price I think it is well worth the couple extra steps and extra time!

GT500's with resonator delete sounds good. I got lucky and found a set of GT500 take off OTA pipes so I got my resonator deletes using factory pipe.

The hardest part for my install was getting the old pipes out. I finally figured out after almost five hours of frustration, that I had to let the axle hang. After that, it all went pretty smoothly. I was almost ready to give up.

I got to compare my car to another with GT500 mufflers and resonators deleted with straight pipes.
Mine is louder, and much more aggressive sounding!
I think the larger diameter pipes and H-pipe make the sound difference!
I love the way mine sounds!
Refined tough sound is how I would describe it!
Gt500 mufflers on steroids!
