I'm not sure what the mod does. Looks like normal taillights to me. What am I missing?

Ohhhh well here behind the Orange Curtain (Kalifornia) that's probably illegal.
Since they cant tax how your brake lights light up, it must be illegal.

I'm sure that the only illegal mods would be visually. Ie: affecting the distance from which you can see the light at night. Something like 309 feet away?

As well, a pulse or strobe would probably be frowned upon. No personal highway vehicle shall have flashing blue or red lights. That's why red and blue under glow is illegal while the vehicle is in motion, but if you have yellow or white or green most cops won't care.

This mod I've seen on other mustangs in the past. It's not illegal.
