hurst billet shifter plus 2

Hey everyone I just installed the Hurst billet shifter plus 2 and I'm having trouble with it slipping into reverse. I even tightened the stud as hard as I could (stud was flush with the shifter base) with a ratchet and hex socket but I still felt no difference in the tension. Has anyone experienced this? Am I just needing to get used to it?

I just sold my Hurst. It's a great shifter, but it doesn't have a reverse lockout. Keep this in mind and give yourself some time to adjust.
If push comes to shove, install the reverse LED indicator.

I was reading that others only tightened there's about a 1/4 turn to feel a noticeable difference in tension but I tightened mine all the way to almost 3 full turns and felt no difference whatsoever

I dunno. You may want to contact Hurst. They come with a pretty good warranty.

I have been running the Hurst since last year with no issues. I agree contacting Hurst wouldn't hurt.
