Help from anyone that's installed Kooks LT's

So i'm trying to get my Kooks long tubes installed and just now looked at the instructions, I'm missing pages 4 and 6 WTF!? It came with 6 pages of instruction but two of the pages are the same. Also ther are no o2 sensor extensions. Is this normal? aren't they needed?
If anyone still has their instructions and could scan them and email them, please PM me.
Funny thing is, American muscle has Kooks install instructions on their web site, but they only have 2 of the 6 pages, and no, neither of the 2 are the ones i'm missing.
This is for a 2012 GT

Thanks!!

If I may make a request, take pics while doing it, I have been thinking about this for when taxes come in.

This is unbelievable stupid without the instructions! Headers won't go in with motor mounts on. Motor mounts won't go on with headers on.
Does the starter, motor mount & header all have to go in together as one piece? I need like 5 more hands!!

I have SW long tubes and put in this way.

Removed motor mount hardware and lifted engine, removed starter for right LT, removed steering shaft, removed and replaced LT and assembled in reverse order.

My LTs are catless. I secured o2 plugs out of the way and vmp turned them off.

Are you trying to install the Kooks 1 7/8 by any chance? If so, good luck LOL. Please do not use any extensions. You can unclip the harness at the top of the tranny and that will give you all the length you need. You have to remove the motor mounts one at a time and lift to get the header in. The Kooks are not a long tube but are mid length/equal length design thus making them harder to install over the other long tubes out there.

Yes they are the 1-7/8". I guess the only good thing going is that I can't drive it till the spring so I can take my time and take a break when things get frustrating

Since I'm apparently the first one here to install Kooks 1 7/8" LT's, anyone know where to find info on dropping the K member? It's looking like that is going to be the only way to access the last bolts on the passenger header, motor mount & starter.
I found the instructions for a 2010 but the steering systems are different for the 2011+ cars.

i have kooks 1 7/8 headers. the install is a ***** but there customer service is next to none. call them they will get you what you need. I live near there plant and i had some rubbing issues. they took my car in replaced the driver side header, reinstalled new gaskets on both sides and didnt charge me a dime. i had no proof of purchase or record of business with them. They just stand by there products 100%. plus they are the best header for the 5.0. no one else even comes close. they are a family owned company with only a handful of employes. so it doest surprise me that your instructions may have been accidentally shorted. they will make it right. I swear by Kooks products and there customer service.

(and dont worry you wont have any rubbing issues, thee early design had one of the tubes to close to the chassis. the design was tweaked over a year ago.)

Yea clearances are tight, probably less than an 1/8" from the frame on each side. I'm just about to order new motor mounts to stiffen things up just in case, plus now that i'm dropping the k member I will actually be able to put the new mounts in without having to take the headers back off

I autoX-ed my car a few times and I havent had any rubbing with the new header. By far the worst install process ever. That why I took it to them when it had to be redone. No way I was tackling that again.

Did you have issues with your starter wires rubbing the header?

I got my k member dropped and now everything is so easy to access. Got the starter back in and now the main power wire pushes up against the header so hard it does not allow it to even bolt back up.
I can modify the eyelet on the power cable to make it work but how in the heck do you keep the sheath from melting the instant you start it.
It did come with the piece of insulation to wrap the wires in, but they are still going to be in constant contact with the header. Not too sure of this...

I still haven't been home from work in time to call Kooks yet.

No. Only issue I had was on the drivers side. No issues with the starter. I hope you get it together soon.

That's about what I expected. I'm buying stainless works' full exhaust soon. I don't have time to install it myself, so I'll take it to get done.

Yea I've heard anywhere from 300-800.
It wasn't about the money for me, the install could have been free and I think I still would have done it myself. I just enjoy working on my own stuff that much, plus no one is allowed to drive my car let alone wrench on it.
I grew up in the garage with a mechanic dad, im guessing that's where that comes from. Lol
I should have my install wrapped up this weekend, been working 7 days a week the last few weeks, doesn't leave alot of wrenching time.
I can't wait to fire it up!

This is crazy you've had a few issues with the install. My SW long tubes went in like a glove. I wonder if yours are just a fluke. I hope you're able to get it done without too much trouble.

The kooks are equal length 1 7/8". It's a much more convoluted design to keep the primarys equal length.
