Ok so I currently have a Lethal Off-Road H-Pipe going to resonator deletes than to Borla S-Type Mufflers. I am now interested in doing headers. I called up steeda to ask how much labor they would charge for the job.

I also asked if its possible if they can cut my H pipe to fit the headers I will get. They said they can not do that and i would need a new h pipe. They said its not practical and it will never really fit correctly.

So this kind of sucks because I didn't know this when I bought the H pipe which has only been about 2 months ago.

Is my best bet to just buy headers that come with a h pipe and sell the one i have?

Whats the best sounding headers for the 5.0 and do any of them come with a offroad h pipe or only offer offroad x? thanks.

I wouldn't mess with headers unless it's just something you absolutely must have. Just depends on what you're looking for with your car. If every available n/a horsepower you can get out of it is your goal, then I guess you gotta get the LTs but I would mod elsewhere. Personal preference, good luck in your decision.

well i already have borla mufflers offroad pipe intake 93 tune etc.. not much else I can do besides headers or maybe boss manifold besides a supercharger. I am planning on doing a procharger sometime next year so I wanted to do headers next.

Oh yeah, if you're getting a power adder, then Long tube and X pipe it to fit. Sell the H pipe and cut your minimal loss. You're going to have to get a new tune then get another tune when you add the charger if you do it now though. Save a few bucks and just do the LTs/xpipe , charger and tune at one time; then sell your h pipe. This way you don't have to get multiple tunes every time you're adding mods.

well I have steeda tune 93 octane tune, wont they just update my tune accordingly for the new mods for free every-time I add a part especially if they are the ones installing it?

if ur looking for new mods i just added a boss mani and 1pc aluminum driveshaft and all i have is smiles on my face, especially the new driveshaft, that thing is amazing!! and i went with cat deletes and an off road hpipe and i would suggest the same becuz i personally dont think longtubes are worth the cost and labor

good idea those are the two things i have NOT done. Ok so if i go for the boss 302 manifold, I will need the manifold itself and I will need a new strut tower brace. What else do i need to get for it too fit with the steeda CAI? Do i need a spacer or other parts to attach the boss 302 manifold? What about a new throttle body?

i also need that i believe since the steeda 5.0 intake wont fit with the boss manifold.

I heard that it will work. Regardless you would have to ditch it when you installer the blower. You might want to hold off until you know for sure

Make up your mind if you're going to stay N/A for awhile or plan on boosting soon. Either way, sell you H-pipe and get LT's and matching X-pipe.

So I have been looking and I want the Kooks LTH. Do you guys think I should stick with the offroad h pipe with the headers or go catted? I do not want to lose power and I do not care how loud it is, however, I want whatever will sound better.

I think I might just do the headers and the boss manifold all at same time.

ordered the kooks long tube headers and offroad h pipe today. =) pretty excited and i got a sick deal on it! so my lethal off road h pipe is officially up for sale, however, the headers wont be getting installed for a few weeks and have to wait for them to get here.

FYI the Kooks headers are mid length not long tubes. Did you get the 1 3/4 or the 1 7/8?

just called up steeda they told me they wont install kooks longtube headers because it is "illegal" ? However, they installed my offroad pipe which is also illegal.. am i missing something here?

They are longtube, every site that sells them says so. That's copy and pasted directly. I got the 3/4 because I am going to stay N/A for a long long time if not ever and was told by kooks tech support themselves that I will lose low end torque with the 7/8 and for what i am doing with the car 3/4 are better.
