gt500 quad axle back on gt /tune?
gt500 quad axle back on gt /tune?
Taking delivery of my 2014 GT within a few weeks. I have a CAI and SCT tuner which of course I will be getting bama to send me a tune. Question, I also have a set of gt500 quads that will be going on it. Depending on when I get a chance to install them, I was wondering if Bama would need to know about the gt500 axle backs to provide a custom tune? It wouldn't really matter would it?

Axleback's don't require a re tune or any adjustments. Let me tell you a little bit about how we write our tunes! For every Bama Tune we ask you 19 questions about your specific Mustang, including your unique mods and style of driving. This info helps us write custom tunes from the ground-up for your Mustang's mods that will give you the most horsepower that we can safely deliver. We're also constantly developing our tunes! Between our 14 different Project Mustangs and tons of street/track and dyno testing (on our in-house Dynojet 224xLC), we're looking for any minor tweaks to be made that can benefit you guys. We're also part of Fords Technology Transfer Program & Work very closely with Ford to insure that all of our tunes are perfect!
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future and we'll gladly get you squared away. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764!

I absolutely love my '11-'12 GT500's combined with the resonator-delete ...
I've been watching the videos, it's just hard to tell volume on the Internet haha. I did hear them start a 2013 Shelby in the showroom and it was pretty loud.
I'm about ready to order exhaust. Think borla s types and gt500 quad are my frontrunners.

Bare in mind you'll have to change the rear valance, cutting and such, if you go with the quads.
Well if the quads are anything like the dual GT-500's, then their plenty loud. Do a resonator delete when you install them and you'll be good to go. I have the boss H without baffles, resonator delete, and GT 500 axle backs and it sounds angry at wot. Quiet at highway speeds and still no drone.
I forgot about this post. Sorry. Thanks for the responses.
I had a Bama tune on my 2011 v6 auto. They did all right by me. Since I have the SCT tuner, I will be giving them a call for new tunes for the GT manual.
The 2013 and up GT500 mufflers are dual tipped mufflers.
The down side is that , as stated above, I will have to cut into the stock bumper and mount the GT500 rear diffuser/valance to it for the dual tips.
As far as sound quality goes, the couple of youtube vids with GT's running 2013/2014 GT500 mufflers all sound throaty on start up and mellow at driving speeds. There was one that was fairly loud and popping but I believe the guy was not running any cats and had LT headers.
Now, if only Ford would finish my car and ship it I would be a happy camper.
