Why did you paint them?
They are kinda new....only had 5mi on them (came off a SuperSnake conversion) I painted them black so they will not be sen under the car from behind. I will prob cut out the resonators sometime down the rd once I get used to how these sound normally.

You should like them. They really belong on the car from factory. BTW, that is a great deal that you got!!

I also snapped a pic inside the muffler, not sure how this compares to the stocker!? I will have to update as soon as I get a pic of the stock one.
Thats looks awesome! Thinking I will be doing the same thing this week! Plus I wanna hear my car with the mufflers off! LOL Ill have to do this install at my buddies shop though, I wouldnt want to put my neighbors through that. I may even put my OEM's back on the see how they sound with no resonators.

Cut out your resonators. You'll be 100% satisfied. It makes it just a little deeper and nowhere near obnoxious by doing so. No drone etc

Wow... posted this today, banned already!

Does anyone have a sound clip? I have thought about doing this...but as-is, I really like my GT500 mufflers.

The ONLY downside, IMO, is that they're very heavy pieces compared to some of the other options.

Start on page 3 for sound clips.

Really debating this....IF it makes them deeper. do not want them any more raspy, louder is fine!

No rasp. Did it today and increases sound volume by about 35%. Have not done any WOT runs, but it sounds great with the slow rev to 3500 then shift.

I would almost say it is the same difference/change as the stock to GT 500 axlebacks.

Has anyone else noticed that the engine is not only louder from the rear of the car but the front as well? After I put them on i thought I had perhaps created a leak around the Cats, but I've checked.
