GT 500 Valance Quad tips

Been thinking about my next mod. The gt500 rear valance w/quad tips. I already have the borla s-type axle backs, and love the sound so I do not want to spend the money on new axle backs with the quad tips. So my question is would it be possible for a muffler shop to cut the old tips and weld quad tips on? If so any recommendation on what tips that fit the valance.

Thanks for any help

Only thing I could think of about doing that is that it may be difficult to get the tips to line up with the valance openings. Don't know if the 13-14 GT500 muffler tips have the same offset as the standard GT muffler tips.

They don't. When I put my valance on, waiting for the 2013GT500 quad tips to come in, the standard GT exhaust tips will hit the valance. I welded a 1" extension into the hangers, that gave enough clearance until my exhaust arrived.

Found these on stangmods.com http://www.stangmods.com/Mustang-Qua...ips-p/3040.htm. But not sure if they'd work with the borla's

Did you get just the tips or the full axle back?

On a '13, I have a video before we installed the GT500 quads with Magnaflows on with the quad valance and they fit, but it looked horrible.
We are catless with 3" pipe all the way from the stock headers to the GT500 mufflers and this is the best sounding exhaust I think you can get for a Mustang. REALLY loud at WOT, but zero drone what so ever and a great low mean sound cruising.

Here is the vid with the magnaflow comp cat back exhaust with the quad valance, you can see how you could make quads work on a bigger muffler

This piece was a Seibon valance we bought at a pretty big discount. Great piece. All of the rest of the CF we have on the car is TruCarbon.

Very nice looks good and sounds great. Do you know if there is any sound difference between the single tip vs the quad tip?

has anyone bought the ,2013-2014 MUSTANG SHELBY GT500 SPORT MUFFLER KIT (49 STATE)
M-5230-MSVTLB* wonder what the sound difference is since they are a bit pricey, compared to the quad gt500 regular mufflers
