Poorly fitting Saleen grill?

The Saleen grill and GT/CS lower valence went on today. The bottom edge of the Saleen grill is not flush with the bumper and has a real noticiable gap. Anybody else have this problem? I'm tempted to unload it and go with the Roush grill at this point. All the images of the Roush show a very flush fit against the bumper.

Bummed!

I had the Saleen grille in mine for a short time, I had the gap at the bottom that you are talking about, I put a small piece of foam between the front bumper cover and bumper reinforcement to push up on the top of the bumper cover so it would fit flush against the bottom of the grille. It looked good but I ended up having my oem grille frame painted to match my car.

Just put mine in yesterday. Same issue here. Just add three body push pins, left, right and middle. Yes you have to drill into your bumper but it's in a place that you will never see.

Mine fits perfect but I had it installed by a local body shop. Saleen parts are always great quality but do take some work to get them to fit right.

Just use the push pins. You will never see them.

Mine fit fine without the pin, but some folks have been using it to push the grill down.

Remember, the Saleen grill wasn't designed for our bumper, it was designed for the Saleen bumper.

Installed mine today and fits like crap. Product itself is not the best quality wise, but I like the look.

My Saleen grille didn't come with any clips, either, and the cardboard shims I tried at first wound up getting wet and falling out after several months. I purchased (3) "tree clips" from McMaster-Carr (mcmaster.com) and I can report that there is no gap whatsoever.

It has to have clips dude, the flages aren't beveled like the OEM piece, so they wont stay in. Need the alligator teeth ones.

I actually used three push pins just to make sure it didn't go anywhere. Don't see what the big deal is about drilling a whole into a spot that will never ever be seen with any grill. Sallen and Roush are deffinitly the best grills out there.
