Cool sound, I think it would get old after a little while tho. If it stalls, you should get in touch with the tuner as that shouldn't happen. They should raise your idle perhaps

I thought the reason they loped was they were just dumping fuel and lowered the idle.

not at all. Increased duration and overlap, same as a car WITHOUT adjustable camshafts.

Yeah I know lol but it's worth it and with the cats gone its a whole new animal but I'm not the only one with small little idle surges but of that's worst that happens to me.

Never understood the reason for wanting this.

Cool factor I'll guess.

It does seem like it's more trouble than it's worth.

Cams used to be the mod to change the duration of intake/exhaust valve timing to get that better fuel mixture, and/or to rid the engine of the exhaust gases to clean the cylinders for a better fuel charge. Of course none of these engines had PCM/ECU's that assisted in the variable timing we have today. The lopy idle was a characteristic of these cam installs.

Now folks pay for a tune to get this lopy cam type idle, that serves no performance purpose???

I'm still missing something.

I'm glad to hear you're really enjoying your Bama Cam tune, it's definitely really cool! I run this same tune on my 2011 GT and absolutely love it. My idle definitely searches at idle, but it never stalls.

Give the Bama team a call and we'll gladly make some quick adjustments to your tune. Please let me know if you have any further questions for me! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

Like axleback exhaust systems that yield next-to-nothing in terms of increased performance, a ghost cam tune is run solely for the sound.

Or, of course, same as a car with a single camshaft with a 110LSA. I'll pass. I'd rather not sound faster than I am.

more like a 114 LSA, but not nitpicking here. Even the cam-tune didn't even sound close to as beefy as my GTO was w/ a mild cam and a 112lsa.

I ran the BAMA cam tune for over a year and never had any issues.

What was the duration and lift on your cam and who did the tune? The Torquer 110 in my buddy's LS7 C5Z doesn't chop any more warm than the Bama Tunes I've listened to online, but I've never heard one in person.
