There have been several posts on modularfords about it - the CEL people are getting doesn't even exist, which is the strange thing. It's not a standard OBDII code, and the only fix Jon has been able to come up with (so far as I've been told) is to reflash the car. Simply clearing it with the SCT handheld doesn't work.

Mind you - this is all second hand information, but still interesting and note-worthy nonetheless.

I'm kind of glad it's taken so long because I'm already "over it" and am just enjoying my normal 93 Performance tune.

That's fine and understandable, but why can't Bama tell us this? Why are we having to find out from third parties?

I don't really like these guys that much, but found this show pretty informative.

Bumping this with hopes someone from AM will give us an update..

Livernois, Lund and a plethora of 'mom and pop' shops (just search on YouTube!) have all been able to release a cammed tune, what's the hold up guys?

Most of the cammed tunes have ended up with some sort of CEL that hasn't really been sorted out yet, so it is probably something along those lines.

If AM were to keep us in the loop, and simply come into this thread and post that - then yeah, sure, that makes sense. Telling everyone in the beginning of April a product is a week away, and then just dropping the subject altogether - not cool.

People post on AM's Facebook constantly about it..tons of likes and comments, but AM just ignores the posts. A simple update would go a long way.

I agree with you. I didn't mean to come off as defending AM ignoring the customers, in a market like this it can kill a business since most people take suggestions from others for who to get what stuff from. While tunes for life is a great setup I am leaning towards going with someone else since the plan is do all my bolt-ons then get a tune. In a couple years I will probably be going FI anyways and will have to dyno tune it.

I was e-mailing back & forth with a worker @ AM. Guess cust service? I said I wanted an SCT Tune with this fake cam sound. Not the ghost tune, but still was typing w/them for @ least 3 weeks?

Great service to me.

Hey Guys,

SCT's software is currently missing crucial parameters that we need to keep cars from stalling or having idle issues. You'll notice that 99% of the dealers who sell SCT tunes aren't selling this idle option yet. We haven't been able to work on it in weeks.

When we originally started this thread, the ETA was going to be about a week. We got a week into it, completed everything we could and realized SCT is missing parameters that we need added to the database. We've been at a stand-still since then (as well as all the other SCT dealers out there).

If you're basing your entire reasoning for a purchase of a custom tuner around a novelty tune that makes your car sound like it has a cam, but doesn't affect performance - I feel like you might be missing the point of custom tunes. However, we're not here to trick people into buying our products. If you purchased your tuner specifically waiting for the ghost cam file (obviously a purchase date after this thread was started), call us up and we'll set up a return for it. Otherwise, you can enjoy your tunes and wait until this is released down the road, if/when SCT gets ahold of the necessary parameters.

Hope this helps!

Chris
