FRPP 1" drop P springs??
FRPP 1" drop P springs??
I see they sell for around $225 on the FRPP website.
I know I should get an alignment afterward, but do I need a panhard bar adjustment too or is that part of the alignment?
My dealer quoted me 6 hours of labor at $95 an hour to install (supposedly includes a new alignment).
Does that sound about right for these cars?
Thanks

Your dealer sounds pricey. It's not a hard job or a lengthy one. That may be flat-rate, but it can be done in 2-3 hours at home with beer breaks. Here's a good How-to claiming 1 hour: http://www.mylrs.com/blogs/lrs/archi...tallation.aspx
These guys were my source for the springs and bar..

Like Steve stated, that seems a bit pricey from the dealer. I did install FRPP 1" drop springs myself as well, and it took me i would say about 2-3 hours the most. The longest part of the job was actually measuring and adjusting the offset of the wheels. Removing the original bar and installing the new one is a breeze. Here is a tutorial i referred to .

car is sweet. 1 inch is perfect. post some more pictures
Thanks guys.
I thought 6 hours sounded like WAY too much.
Typical stealership.
I knew I wanted the one inch drop even before the 2011's came out, I saw them on a 2010 and it looked perfect.
Thanks for the link as to where to order the springs and panhard bar.
If I have a shop do the install the FRPP warranty does not apply though right? Or am I mistaken?
I don't want to take the car in for a suspension issue only to have them tell me I have no suspension warranty because I had a shop install the FRPP springs.
But I ain't paying 6 hours of labor if you guys did it in 2-3 hours and you probably don't even have a lift.
F in stealerships.
If need be I'll take it to one of the other Ford dealers in town who won't try to rip me off on the labor.

I like the 1" drop, it cleans up the wheel gap to make a nice even profile around the wheel. Also, you're not going to kill yourself and have to worry about running something over or scraping on much more than you did stock, which is a big plus.
OP, not feeling the desire to do it yourself? Spring installs aren't too awful, especially on a new car.
Steve, love the car so far too. Nice work on the subtle things.

Thanks, yeah the Mustang has a HUGE gap between wheel and wheel well.
It's insane when you can put your whole fist between the two.
I honestly think the rears could use a 1.25 drop and I'm sure that's why Steeda has a set with 1" drop in front and 1.25 in rear.
I have a moderately steep entrance to my drive way, so I can't drop it more than 1" anyway (and again wouldn't want to because when I first saw a 2010 with the 1" drop it looked classy and basically the height the car SHOULD be stock). And that I like.
