I have been leaning toward the GT 500 axle back due to not wanting anything crazy or any resonance when cruising at highway speeds.There are a few guys in Columbia, SC that are running the One chamber flowmasters on their 11/12 Gt's. I looked at them today at the muffler shop and they are about 1/3 of the size of the stock mufflers. I haven't heard them yet on a 5.0. I did talk to a guy on the phone that has them on his 2011. He said that he left the resonators on because he didn't want anything extreme (like me). He said he loves them and they sound almost stock cruising highway speeds until you get on it. Has anyone heard these on a 5.0?? The install price is basically the same as a Gt500 axleback. These guys guarantee a few ponies on the dyno with these one chambers Thoughts....?

 

First I've ever heard of these! No 2011 youtube videos. But they sound super loud on the older 5.0's! Of course thats running them just after the Cats with no resonators but still. I would definitely listen to some first hand before pulling the trigger on them.

Nice sound but there wasn't a despcription stating what type of exhaust he had. Do you know the guy or something? If you know first hand that this was the one chamber flowmaster, did he have resonators?

 

No I don't know him and I assume he still has resonators due to it sounded completely different than the others I listened to but they were older to. Send him a pm and ask.

 

On my 95, I have IMCO 1 chamber mufflers dumped. The car just sounds awesome! This morning I thought of having them switched to see if sounded good. Forgot all about that!! My 95 just sounds Amer muscle car loud. I had a custom side exit kit on it. With these, people say it sounded raspy. I liked it though. My 95 now doesn't sound raspy w/it dumped. Yeah, going to go see about that tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me.

I like FM's better. My exhaust guy said they would sound the same as my IMCO's.

 

Says 1 chambers & nothing else under the link. So other than the flowmasters the car is stock.

 

I placed my order for 4" tips today. As soon as he gets them, I'll go w/my 95's 1 chambered mufflers. Can't rem if he gets his stuff on Tue or Wed. Hope Wed!! He said it should wake it really up!!
