Flowmaster 40 Series?

Anyone using Flowmaster original 40 series mufflers? I haven't found any sound clips or videos. I'm curious as to how they will sound on the new 5.0's, especially with an o/r x-pipe. I ordered them tonight and will post a vid as soon as i have them installed.

Thanks. That's the first I've heard with them. I can't wait to hear them with long tubes and no cats!

First clip sounded better... maybe the skateboard muffled the sound… lol. Set-up sounds great!

Nice. If you can, take one from about 10-20 yards away.

Mine are going to be here on Thursday, but I have to go back to work on Friday. I won't be off until Wednesday, so I won't have a video before then.

Yeah, I'm deaf in my left ear & it really screwed up all of my hearing. Just thought it may sound louder from bouncing off the walls.

I'll try & remember to tomorrow!

I Don't care for the way the AT's sound on the new 5.0 and love the original 40 series on everything I've heard them on. They might sound the same. We might know tomorrow, because mine arrived a day early!!!

Vid's are uploading as we speak. Hang on.

Sorry, I'm not good with distances any more. 15-20" to me.

From a start to 120:

This start was just speeding up quickly.

Those are the American Thunders. Sounds good inside. Not too much drone?

Yeah, I don't know what drone means!! Since the mufflers are @ the rear of my car, I didn't know if normal 40 Series ones would work. I am happy as hell with them.

I'm just a FlowMasters guy. I now see mine may not be what you were asking for? Ha, just see what you typed. My bad, maybe? Somewhere it says the ones I have are 40 Series. That's why I typed this.

It's all good. Thanks for all your effort. Drone is the "bass" type sound, inside the car, that you feel more than you hear!

All I see is drone is frowned upon. If it's what you feel, that's my fav part!! You bet. I don't get that well of videos. Thanks!!

I have asked for a meaning to drone on about 5 diff forums. You said it the best!

Most people don't like it. I don't mind some, but if it gets to the point that I have to turn the radio way up because of it, or I can't talk on my cell/sync, then it's too much.

Don't you hate it when you get a new part, and can't do anything with it! I can't find a shop with stainless tubing or a mandrel bender. I gotta go back to work tomorrow, and won't be off again until Wednesday.

That's the worst!!! Where @ in Texas do you live? I'm in central right in the middle @ about 13 miles from Red River. I think my exhaust guy can do that? He'd have to order the SS, do I need to go find out for sure? Why I like him, if not slammed he can squeeze me in. When I got my FM's, he had a truck on his lift that wouldn't start. Put them on by jack stands. Still only took like :40.
