Fitment of various after-car X-pipes

Hey guys, come the spring, I want to have an after-cat X-pipe to install. I think I have decided to keep the stock cats. I have heard various issues of fitment on certain pipes, specifically the FRPP piece. I like the following 3 pieces due to their installation type (no welding) and quality:

-FRPP X
-Magnaflow
-Bassani

Anybody have any experience with these pipes? I am going to be pairing it with a Roush Axleback.

Thanks

Depending how my day goes tomorrow I can probably give you a good review on the FRPP. I'm planning on putting it on tomorrow afternoon with the new Roush's.

I've read very mixed reviews on it as well. Some have no trouble while others struggled to get it in place. From my understanding it clamps in place using the existing stock h-pipe clamps.

Sweet, your experience with it will either make or break me getting it. It is the cheapest one and looks like a nice piece. How much did you end up paying? I found one under 200 brand new, thinking of biting now lol. Also a review on the sound too! If it gets louder and whatnot.

I have the Pypes. It is a top quality piece, but you have to weld it as it is 3 inch all the way back. It is also the cheapest at $125.00. I have it paired with the Roush mufflers and no resonators. It is an amazingly good combination.

Check out the Corsa X pipe. Good quality piece that requires no cutting and comes with all the hardware you need to install.

If you search you can find some good prices on it, I posted a video with them and my Borla S type in another thread here.

Thanks for the advice guys. Anyone have any experience with the 2 "true" X-pipes? The magnaflow and Bassani?

I am kinda leaning toward the Bassani if I can find a decent price. Plus maybe be a guinea pig even tho im sure its out there. I think the looks are getting me. It looks like an awesome piece.

I have the magnaflow tru x pipe .The guys at JDM who tuned my car recommended it over my other choice.I used a code to get it for 278.00.ill have to look at some old posts to find the code, but anyone interested can pm me and I'll try to find it. You can see if it still works.the tru- x took the rasp out the Roush's. After I put it on a neighbor asked me did I do something to make the car quieter.

Go with an H then, or leave the stocker. The H is just louder by nature.

I love the way the X smoothes out the sound but I always thought it would add at least a little volume. Id love to go off road but dont want to deal with the hassle....

I didn't get around to putting mine on today. It was just to cold to lay on the garage floor under the car.

Lol. I have a small heater but it didn't help much since it was 5 degrees last night.

when I did mine on my 06 I had to expand one of the pipes so it wouldn't leak. I used the frpp x pipe.

Argh... Hearing constant fitment issues. I wish you the best Hytek. Hopefully all goes PERFECT. I would mod so much more if it wasn't for all the troubleshooting involved in most mods. lol

I am liking the bassani. Always wanted a Bassani X on my '89 and never got it. Maybe ill get it for the '12 but I haven't heard any reviews.

I'm hoping it goes well too. If not my local shop is pretty good and I'll have them put it on. I'm off Wednesday so I'm going to attempt it.

Here is how mine looks, or looked right after install. It did have to be tweaked for rubbing once.
