I watched a TON of youtube videos trying to decide on an exhaust combo, then saw a 5.0 at the track with an O/R X pipe and GT500 mufflers and it was NOTHING like I had imagined from the videos. I just don't think the microphone of some cameras picks the sound up properly. Too bad its not always easy to hear them in person before you buy.

GT500s with an off-road H or X-pipe sound wonderful, and have no drone. The Corsa Extreme and X-pipe I'm running on my car are also extremely quiet in the cabin when cruising. I highly recommend both, just depends on your sound preference and budget.

Magnaflow translated to english means drone. I try to ignore it but it's there around 1900-2300 RPM and it's very pronounced. I hope when I get my long tubes they help clean it up a bit.

I run the Corsa Xtremes and X pipe also. The combination is evil sounding with no drone at all. A Camaro guy asked me about my setup, that's how good it sounds.

I have the Borla touring cat back, fairlly quiet at idle and cruise, with a nice throaty sound. When you open her up the sound is just wonderfull, but still not to loud. And there is absoluttly no drone at all

It may be to quiet for many of you out there, but for me just perfect, a very refind sound, you can tell it is not stock, but doesn't draw any unwanted attention form the boys in blue

Does anyone know what's the best combo for a full exhaust system from headers on back. Looking to maximize Rwhp gain. Maybe some dynoed results

this may be a dumb question, but i like the sound of the stock exhaust...just wish it was louder. is there a way to do it? also, how much is it for a GT500 exhaust system? i am a noob when it comes to exhaust parts, etc.

The gt500 mufflers are under 300 online.

If you want it a little deeper and louder, all you need are the mufflers. You can replace them with basic tools and the car doesn't have to be jacked up. Would take about an hour.
