Ok Guys,
I cut off the resonators! It sounds much better now. I am thinking of keeping the Roush for now and drill a hole on each muffler to let the water drain

Oh, and for the record I did own a Buell 1200 Lightning. That was a loud bastard and had a warmed up Harley 1200 Sportster motor in it. It was quick, but it sounded like crap and revved less than the car I drove at the time, with less than half the displacement. So, I can legitimately bash Harleys. LOL.

Also, do the 5.0 cars like a lot of back pressure (and chambered exhausts) or better flowing exhausts (like flow-throughs like Magnaflow, Borla, etc)? I'm likely going to do the Boss quad outlet H-pipe setup later on, but am wondering with the dual outlets now if I'll be sacrificing any torque by going flow-through, etc.

Hey guys, I'm fairly new here so just starting to learn the components of my new ride - 2011 Yellow Blaze 5.0. I'm not in too much of a hurry to start swapping out mufflers, axle-back or cat-back (even though I loved my Lightning-style Maggies on my '05 Lariat SCrew I traded in on this), but am interested in pulling the resonators off to get more volume without spending a dime. How hard/easy is this, and what all does it entail (any write-up on the forums)? Anything I can do with a 2T jack and hand tools on a sunny Saturday afternoon?

I heard a lot of those pipes run pretty bad once the car is lowered. That's why a lot of guys keep the factory pipes. I think they have a flattened area near the axle...
Anybody have fitment issues with aftermarket over axle pipes?
How much did that run u to weld in new pipes?
