Engine Vibration

Hey all, I have noticed that when I rev the engine at at about 1000-1500 rpm's it has a bad viration then goes away as rpm's go above about 2,000. Have any of you noticed this with your 5.0's? should I be worried? Could it be the aftermarket tune causing this?

I put the stock air box back on and returned the stock tune back in the ecu. Still I have a vibration around 1,500 rpm's. I guess it will be off to the dealer unless someone here says there car does the same. Maybe the vct adjusting?

OK where is this bolt? More details would be great.

I don't think it could be clutch related, but could you give us more details on the kind of vibration you're hearing and where youn think it's coming from. Is it vibrating while driving the car or when it's idling only ?

plenty of pressure plate bolts have backed out. yours and mine can do it at any time.

there is a inspection port on the bellhousing or go to the dealer.

go to the track with sticky tires and do 6k drops. youll find a vibration soon enough.your clutch WILL fail after enough runs.

If the vibration was really bad it seems like one of the knock senors would give an MIL. I'd still have it checked though.

I only feel it around 1,400RPM to about 1,700RPM. I don't notice it when i'm driving just when revving the engine at a stop and it shakes the whole car. My 15yo son could even feel it in the passenger seat.

a vibration with an accleration higher than 7 mils, will ruin it pretty quick. get it check before it taers itself up.

Finally got my car into the services department yesterday and got the answer I thought they would give "this is a normal characteristic for the 5.0". There is a TSB for it now but it stated no repairs should be attempted.

got a 2014 5.0 gt/cs and just had the clutch replaced. Ever since I got it back I've noticed a vibration at 1100 RPM's. Could this be the pressure plate bolt you're talking about?

I'd guess the flywheel/pressure plate need to be balanced.
