As stated above. I also think this is why my car got slower, I think you need a good host of supporting mods (including most importantly a throttle body and longtubes, as well as a lot of gear) to go with the boss or it will slow you down. A CAI and x pipe just won't cut it, and thats about as far as a LOT of people go with power mods. Which is why I keep harping on this, the boss intake is not for everyone.

Thanks!

You are EXACTLY right!

I am right, and I have proof, I have done this on my own car and seen it with my own eyes. Also talked to a close friend who ran slower at the track with the boss intake, he had similar mods as me. As I said before without going full bolt ons the boss intake will slow you down, even with them its probably worth less than a tenth, and thats if you're willing to rev your car to 7600+.
Not the case on other forums ur one of few that claim this. I will make my own concluision, thanks for ur input but their are to many others that have pulled improved times for me to believe the few that had bad experiences. I will have proof of my own soon. Good luck to u man

More than likely whats going to happen is you will run your car, be happy with the time, and say the boss intake is worth it. I highly doubt unless you run a really bad time you'll ever pull the intake off and try the stock one again. Which is fine, as long as you are happy with your car then don't mind me.

But remember that the entire combo is what is important (dyno tune not mail order, and other bolt ons to go along with the intake), and that without trying both intakes you still have no proof. But if you like the way your car runs then you really don't need it.

Is the n/a record time still 11.1 ?? If so I plan on making a run at it once I'm full bolt on. My buddy cracked a 11.20 and bogged on that run so no doubt 11 flat or high 10's are not out of the question. Without this mod I don't see anyone hitting those numbers. There are a lot of people claiming they improved there times with just BM, CAI, tune I bet they feel the same as u because they improved over the stock instead of running slower. I'm going full bolt on and I know it's worth the money!

This car has internals overhauled and heads ported. It weights 3030/lbs with driver. TKO 600 tranny with liberty pro stock shifter. Id say this is more of a race car than my supercharged car.
