Does the TR-6060 in the GT500 bolt onto 5.0 2011+ Mustangs?

I have searched and will continue to search as I post this.

I apologize if this has been beaten to death.

I want to know if the TR-6060 from the 2007+ GT500 will bolt up to the 2011-2012 Mustang GT with the 5.0 engine and work as if it was there from the factory.

I wouldn't ask this, but I saw some talk about it on this forum and want to confirm that it does.

I know I need a different clutch.

I'm aware that the speedo won't work.

Can I use the GT500 driveshaft?

I'm also looking into the TR6060 used in the BOSS race car. It appears to bolt right up and work as if from the factory.

What else is needed? Do I need the bellhousing or case from the Boss R1?

I know about the T56 magnum conversion kit, I'm checking all of my options when it comes time to replace the MT82.

Thanks so much!

I'd go with the conversion kit. The other two trannys will work but require a lot of extra work. What are your plans for the car?

I may well do that.

Eventually some form of FI, 600-800 hp.

What work is required for the Shelby TR6060 for it to work?

Thanks!

Not really sure but check out and maybe contact D&D transmissions. There may be a bell housing adaptor kit.

It only says 05-up. Just give them a call. Their tech line and customer service is pretty good. I've used them for my rebuild.

Well I suppose having 600-800hp will solve the gearing issue inherent to the TR6060, otherwise you will have to gear the car very deeply in order to get the same off the line performance the MT82 offers.
