Cost of engine part installs?

Was wondering how much do shops usually charge for installing forged bottom(crack/rod/pistons)?

How much do they usually charge for install of LT Headers?

lastly about how much for a suspension kit like the FRPP ones?

All installs separate

Thanks

Not yet most of the shops around me think everyone is a dumbA** and they give crazy prices. Might call ford dealership tomorrow and ask them.

Calling a Ford dealership is a horrible idea.

Give Blow By Racing a call. They're located in South Florida.

Alright this is what i was quoted for labor:

forged bottom(crank/rod/piston)- ~$800-1000
LT headers-~$600
Suspension -~$ a few hundred

that's adds a pretty penny to some of these items.

I paid $600 to have my LT's installed. I have seen some shops charge as high as $1000

Thanks Kobrag. I'm still a relative noob when it comes to Mustang mods, so this is good to know.

I assume upgrading internals is quite involved and time consuming, and the tech really needs to know what he's doing, so the pricing doesn't seem unreasonable, but I'm surprised at how expensive the LT install is by comparison. Do they really take that long to install?

The LT take that long because of how I guess(This is what I was explained)
how it is under the car they have to move something out of the way(tranny or engine) and really take their time with placement.

but **** LT headers cost almost the same when its done then getting forged pistons/rods o.o

With the crank/pistons/rod the guys said it isn't complicated but you do have to take the whole engine out of the car which does take time.

I got my lts installed for $425 and it wasn't a friends shop or anything so I'd shop around for those. Engine work sounds reasonable though

I would bet the price on the engine work doesn't include r&r.
