CEL after Airaid CAI install?

Hello,

Recently installed an Airaid CAI and JLT Oil Seperator (pass side) on my 2012 Mustang GT with the M6. I have an SCT tuner and pulled the code and it came up with "p0171 system too lean bank 1". Any ideas guys? Thanks!

Did you get your tune adjusted for the CAI?

Then get a tune. What are you using the tuner for?

I just haven't gotten a tune yet. I was simply curious why I have a code when I shouldn't...

If you have a CAI, then you should have a tune for it.

If he has the airraid intake with insert in, he DOES NOT need a tune. That's what the insert is for.

No idea why you're getting a code though.

Get a tune, or put the box back on until you get a tune. Do you want to drive around with a lean condition?

Tightened up a few hose clamps even more, we'll see what happens. Ordered a BAMA tune this morning.

One of 3 things:
A.) Bad install
B.) They lied and you need a tune.
or
C.) You should wait til you can load the tune anyway.

Did tightening things up help any? Are you sure the insert is correctly installed?

I took it back apart and reinserted the insert just to be sure. I had system too lean bank 1 and now bank 2 codes are on. Putting the factory box back on until the tune gets here.

Thanks for all the help!
