Can the OBD II Speedometer data be fxed to give a correct signal past 160MPH?
I was just wondering if anyone had a work around for this. I am using a Racepak IQ3 with the OBD II interface. As soon as the vehicle reaches 160, the MPH display rolls over, thus 160 read as 0, 161 reads as 1 mph and so on. I believe this is a problem with the OBD II data and not so much the Racepak module. If the setting can be changed within the ECU then I will have my tuner take care of it. If there is a limitation in the sensor then I suppose it cannot be fixed.

Do you really hit 160 often enough for this to be a major issue?
Plus why is it an issue? Seems like it would be a good thing, instead of just not indicating anything at all.

When the vehicle does see these speeds, I would really like to have an accurate way to see speed at a glance rather than doing math at such speeds.
The vehicle is primarily a race car, it only sees these speeds when set up for standing mile events. Here is a video, you will see the speedometer freak out around 160 MPH.
