CA legal

I'm dieing over here because there is so much I want to do to my car, but can't because its not legal.

My question is what sort of power adders can I do to my car short of a super charger and still be legal in CA

I think Paxton was recently approved for 50 state use. Other than that I can't say much else about it

The FRPP ProCal tune is reportedly good for significant increases in torque and horsepower, and is C.A.R.B. exempt (California legal).

It's available without the mufflers, and much less expensive from BuyFordRacing.

This is the one of the aspects of moving out there I'm not looking forward to. Hopefully, I'm not bothered too much. I'm still slapping either the new Procharger or Whipple on mine.

Welcome to Kalifornia! Back home I could practically run an open exhaust, but now - oh no. And don't even think about trying to buy any fun firearms once you get out here. Buy what you want now and drive them in.

If you do an intake, tune, and an OR X pipe, you can just put the OEM back on when it's time for a check. In Calif. that's six years from the time you buy it. Then every two years after that.

Is it possible to do a vortech super charger without doing headers or mid pipe. And is a Vortech S/C even legal in CA?

The Vortech and Paxton units for 2011-2013 are 50 state legal now. This is for the base kit. On my 2011 rear wheel HP went from 375 to 496. All street- legal. With CAI it went to 564 rear wheel HP. Do it! Yes- I am in Ca...
