Can you describe what the torq tune that is listed on your site entails? I've never seen this type of tune offered before.

Hi Doug. I have the following:
2011 GT with. Borla stinger catback exhaust, Steeda CAI. I am unhappy with my Steedacustom tunes. (i normally run octane 94). Would you be able to provide a custome tune file?
Thanks. Rob

I'm in for hearing the differences in the tune types offered as well. Nothing on the website.

Certainly, I'm sorry for not going into more detail...

The Torque and Performance programs differ in the range they are aimed at for making power. The Torque is more so a daily driver program that focuses in on the 1500-3500 rpm's band. In order to do so well in that range though it does give up a few HP up top and this is why I break it apart from my Performance adjustments. The Performance program is aimed at more of a 3000rpm and up rpm band focusing in more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving. This is a great track tune but also works well daily driven.

The Race tune will further enhance the drivability of your new Mustang. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area I can write a tune that will bring the throttle response to life. Enough so that I wouldn't recommend it for daily driving use as it may try to jump out from a stop and possibly even spin the tires. This wouldn't be good if you were beside a police car. One of the true benefits of this tune is that it doesn't increase the timing or reduce the fuel so it can be used with only the premium grade fuel available in your area. Finally with the automatics I use an entirely new shifting curve and torque converter scheduling to further enhance the all out performance of the car.

All of my programs are safe to use for daily driving unless we agree on doing something otherwise.

Absolutely, just note in the comments section on the tuning order form that you have 94 available to you and I'll adjust the tuning accordingly for this.

Just let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks, Doug

Congrats on getting back into it Doug.
On my 2005 before I got my Procharger I had a C&L intake purchased from you along with an Xcal II and your standard and race tunes. I was EXTREMELY happy with the performance I got. You completely eliminated the factory throttle lag and the race tune threw me back in the seat. I wished you had done mail order tunes for the Procharger.
Good luck on your new venture. I'm sure with your reputation you'll do great.

I just got back from a test drive with Doug's "Torq" tune.
The power on the bottom end is amazing.
Top end still pulls pretty good, not quite as good as the Bama race tune, but definitely better than the "Brand S" performance tune.
The additional torque in the lower rpm's really makes for better drive-ability i think.

Thanks Doug!

I'm in development of them now, I've already sent them to a few people, both auto and manual, GT and V6, and am awaiting feedback from them. I'll make a new post when I have it tested and completed.

Thanks, Doug

Doug,

Had your tunes on my 2008 and am interested in getting one for my 2013 5.0. My only worry is that if something goes wrong Ford can tell a tune was installed even though the car is returned to stock. Read on another forum- http://tinyurl.com/cbn59ab -that the new Diablosport inTune leaves nothing behind when returning the vehicle to the stock tune. Is that correct?

The Diablosport In-tune will not leave an impression in the PCM's software. This is straight from Diablosport themselves.

Just let me know if I can help!!

Thanks, Doug

The factory ecu stores a number count internally! even if you disconnect the battery it shows up as an ecu reset or flash.. There is no way around it Period, regardless of the tuning source it's still going to be there!!!

Where did you get this information?
I have never seen or heard of a flash counter in this specific ECU at all.

Besides that...what does a flash counter prove?
What if my neighbor has a IDS subscription and a Cardaq or MCS1, he can load factory updates to my car all day, doesn't mean it was an aftermarklet flash at all

If you like what the tunes did for your HEMI Ram, well, you need a Trinity or inTune for that bad *** 13 GT

In case he didn't mention it, Doug also does custom tunes for HEMIs

As for the 4th gen hemi, Im still waiting on Comp Cams to finish up with their beta on the phase limiter. Id like to get a much more radical cam before another dyno tune. Im running a mild Arrington cam as of now.. will do on getting in touch with Doug

What? That is awesome! That just made my day!

BTW, I had your race tune on my 06 auto GT and it was a beast. Almost makes me wish I had gotten an auto this time around. Almost.
