Just a few posts here and there. All of these cases seem to have an issue of the item not being recieved and no shipping and tracking info. I can't remember exactly, my point though is they all had some similiar issue and when they called blue oval they were treated rudely and with poor customer service. I've seen more than one thread on this either on this site or another. I'm sure they can deliver with no issues but with my luck I might have to call them for some help, and based on the similiar complaints I prefer not to go through that.

I just went on buyfordracing.com it looks like you can still get them. Put them in your cart and calculate shipping and tax, select ground shipping final price is 699.00

Looks killer. Wouldn't mind getting this for my car. Lots of other things on my "to buy" list though

So I'm really tempted to pull the trigger on this....

Is there any chance that it improves performance in any way? It seems that short of full exhaust, there arent many ponies to be found here.

I think it strictly for sound. I have not read anything that it increases HP.

I did not know there was a Ford training center in that complex. I live right around there. They are really making a mess with all the road work there.

Is this a 3 inch system? I'm currently making a shopping list for my GT. I'll probably go with this, the QTP cutouts and FRPP GT500 mufflers. I want a little more sound on mine and sometimes A LOT more sound.

As far as I can tell its the stock H-pipe with a dump on each side of the H. The side pipes are flattened that run to the side of each rear wheel. Someone actually dissected it by cutting it in half and there is a 1 inch tube incased in the side pipes that the exhaust/sound actually flows through. I put my hand under the side dumps when the car is running and you can feel something coming out but not much. These are more for sound I would say. But it does sound like a different car without the restrictor plates in I must say.

Sorry...... the answer to your question is no its not a 3 inch system.

I finally got mine and had it installed today. It is loud! Maybe just for my taste but compared to my gt500 mufflers rhey are loud. The good thing is i can always re-install the baffles. I was too excited about making it to the muffler shop to get them installed that i didnt take pics. But i promise to. I got myself a lot of gifts for the mustang, ill have to start my own thread for that.

They are on the loud side and I can see how it can be annoying if it's a daily driver. Somebody on the forum was selling different size baffles from 1/4 inch to 1 inch for a more desired loudness. I believe the stock baffle is a 1/8 inch hole. Or you can get the electronic cut outs from QTP, you can open and close them whenever you want with a push of a button.

Truth. Its really not that loud. I couldn't imagine running the plates in.

Especially with how the sound dissapears for the most part with the windows up.

Agreed, if you are cruising, you can't even really hear it. If you are getting on it, whole other story.

Ok, I drove it some more today and I love it. I had the window down in 35' weather to hear the music. I'm in love with the sound, when you get on it there is this angry growl. I mean you can see the people in the other cars almost move out of the way to let me by. I'll need to take some pics.

If you go to a chambered muffler, the sidepipes may actually get louder due to an increase in backpressure. My sidepipes actually quieted down a bit once I switched out the stock mufflers for the Roush ones.

I just got mine installed today....superb. This is exactly the sound I was looking for. I'm not sure how much effect the GT500 mufflers have on the sound...but it's just right, IMO.

It's very loud but not absurd...I can already tell that my fuel economy is headed south...it's waaaay too much fun to keep the revs up with this exhaust system. Downshifts are glorious.
