Boss Quad Exhaust Roush Axelbacks on 2011 GT

I threw this together really quickly.

Roush Axelbacks and no restrictor plates installed on the quad exhaust.

This car sounds absolutely wicked now!!

Enjoy the vid!

Paul -

Thanks for sharing that so quickly (since you had the exhaust installed this morning)! 2 observations:
1) Geez, the roads up North are in foul frickin' shape.
2) Geee-eeeeez, you have that yellow blaise (however you spell it) paint shining like crazy! It is nuts!

I found myself wanting to hear how the exhaust sounded in the cabin when you stood on it, but I realize that would have shot you well over the speed limit in moderate traffic on suboptimal roads. But I want to see that kind of sacrifice from you in the future!

The roads up here do suck. That's one reason I will never lower the car.

Yes I want to do some drive byes and in cabin at full throttle. Hopefully soon for everyone's entertainment and especially mine.

Sounds mean!! But surprisingly quite while cruising....best of both worlds.

Btw....how the heck are you averaging 17+ mpgs? If I had that on my car it'd be hard to keep the pedal off the floor.

I saw these.... A little pricey @ 350.00. I love the sound wide open I would never use them, but if I did have some extra cash I would have them installed . Actually my cousin has that same system on his Vette for the Z06 exhaust it's awesome. Maybe down the road after I replace my Roush axelbacks.

Replace the Roushs? Are they too loud with the quad exhaust?

No they are perfect but the welds are cracked and leaking water from the internal condensation . Look at the thread in the 5.0 mods. A lot of guys are starting to develop this problem.

Yeah they'd be pointless with the Roush's still on. I would say get them if you go with a mellower muffler for the sleeper appearance, but I don't think YB is a sleeper color lol.

I think I made up my mind. I'm going with FRPP Sports......everything else on the car is FRPP so I might as well keep it all FRPP. The only reason I got the Roush is because I thought they were a steal otherwise I would have gone with FRPP. In hindsight thats what I should have done it would have saved me money in the long run.

You are right Yellow Blaze with a black OTT race stripe is not a sleeper.

You won't be disappointed with the Sports. Water build up was a simple fix a 1/8 drain hole. The sound is great and the embossed 4 inch rolled tips add a nice touch.

Jim,

You had to drill a drain hole in the FRPP sports for the same problem ?

Thanks!

Yes, I am going with FRPP sports. Thanks for the info, I have heard the Borla has some sort of association with FRPP mufflers.
