Boss Intake Installed..Pics,Videos and Dyno Results on Friday

So Finally made it home and got my Boss Intake installed. I can say i absolutely love it, I feel no torque loss down low and if anything it feels better. I dont know what Shaun at AED did but this boss tune is just awesome , throttle response is instantaneous and i know the Accufab helps but it wasnt this good on the tune i had on the car before the boss mani. I love the way it looks under the hood i think i popped my hood 10 times today just to look at it. Install was painless only aggravating part was the purge valve but i got it all worked out and i love it . Big thumbs up for AED and heres a couple pics and a couple videos i made before intake and after. I picked up 8-10 mph in third and 4th gear with the intake installed. Im going to Thunder Racing in Baton Rouge to put the car on the Dyno and im gonna run it three times . Im gonna make one of the runs with the stock throttle body also just to see whats up there. Any how im a very satisfied customer i love this new intake. Also thanks to Jegs for hooking me up with the great price on it.

Yeah I have 3.31 and I bought a set of 3.73 just in case I thought I needed them. Now im not so sure I do, I can still let the clutch out and floor it and the tires break loose still without any popping of the clutch or revving the engine before I let the clutch out. Im anxious to get to the dyno I was surprised I almost got 140 out of 4th revving to 7500 rpm

I was revving out to 7500, the tune starts shutting off fuel at 7600 rpm, the car absolutely loves it above 4500 rpm now and its smooth i really had to pay attention to how fast i was going 100 comes quick now. Not that the car wasnt fast before though. I really cant feel any loss down low i think it actually picked some up. For the average guy who drives his car on the interstate alot i would say this is a must have Mod.

Yeah im ready for tomorrow to see whats up on the dyno. Really dont know what to expect because im going to a different shop and they use a dynojet 248c, my car with just a intake and tune put down 390whp and 375 wtq on a hot day in the middle of a Louisiana summer on a dynojet 224 Lc . So it wont break my heart if I dont get high numbers. Im expecting between 415-430 whp so if im there then ill be happy with that. The car definitely feels alot stronger now since my first dyno session

Looking forward to hearing results! I had this on my list until I heard a lot of people loss tq down low, so I decided against it. But I already have 3.73 gears....and can never get traction as is LOL.

Ok well first the bad and then the bad...When i spoke to the guy on the phone he said he had a dyno jet well that was not the case he actually had a Mustang Dyno and i almost left and somehow he talked me into staying. I wanted a dynojet because thats what i ran my car on the first time when all i had was an intake and tune. The other bad , he was not too keen on me switching throttle bodies which again he said i could do on the phone. So already i was really wanting to leave but i promised results so reluctantly i stayed. The Car made 412 whp and 341 wtq with the corrected numbers being lower, That was a 4th gear pull as he could not do a 5th gear pull because the machine didnt support those kinds of speeds and as we all know that is the 1:1 Ratio gear for these cars . Ive been searching and I found that the difference between the two dynos is that the mustang reads about 10% lower so factor that in and the car would make about 440ish and 375ish on a dynojet. any how heres the results , NOTE : the dyno sheet reads the corrected Numbers from the dyno run not actually what the car made that day at the present time.

Just curious if you could please break down the cost of this setup.

Mainly curious about how much you paid for the IM, Tune, Tuner & Intake.
would you do anything different, like leave out the TB next time? or add another brand of part?

Boss Intake-$450(Jegs on a price match)
Tuner-I bought off a forum member for $120.00, New they are 379.00
Tune-AED $200.00 pricey but worth every penny and i think his prices went up for this year but he data logs for free and gives free revisions reguardless or where you buy mods from and customer service is second to none.
TB- Stage 3 motorsports $512.00 ,very pricey and most guys can live without but coupled with the boss manifold throttle response is ridiculously good and i really didnt feel any loss down low and i would think this contributes.
AirRaid CAI- 312.00 (American Muscle w/Forum Discount)

Really wouldn't change anything at this point . I may get headers in the future but i'm just gonna enjoy this setup for a while. Only thing i'm going to do is install a set of 3.73's only reason i had not so far is because i planned on FI but that has changed a little so ill add the gearing to go with this.

Oh and i would think on a dynojet this setup would equate to closer to 430 range. Steeda tested it to 424 whp with just intake manifold ,cai and 93 octane tune. so throw about 10 more or so for the O/R X and i think thats pretty accurate. AED's Tune just seems so much smoother than when i had my Steeda tune and alot stronger. Just my observations though and everyones car is different.
