I have the quads with Magnaflow Competition exhaust on my '11. I'm very happy with the sound. I run them wide open with no restrictor plates or resonators. Nice deep sound but not uncomfortably loud unless you get on it hard. The only down side is sub-frame connectors will not fit with this setup.

I have the quads in the back I wonder how the boss quad will sound with these? Hopefully louder and deeper.

A guy at work has the single tip GT500's and they clearly sound different than my quad tip GT500's. The quads tips are louder and deeper. Maybe go for those with the boss setup?

Hey Last1! I have the single tip version with side pipes, just debating resonator deletes. I hear the Shelbys (GT500-the car) comes resonatorless from the factory. Is this a correct statement?

I ordered the OEM GT500 quads and they still had the resonators on them. I am not sure about the actual Shelby and whether or not the SVT team removes them during the build.

The GT500s do not have resonators from the factory. Their OTA pipes are resonator-less. Many members on here have reported zero drone with GT500 axlebacks (single and/or quads) and resonators deleted.

Thank you for confirming that. I'm just confused as to why there's a chance for a drone if resonator is removed. Ford would have put resonators on Shelbys if they were to drone... right?

Another question is why all the other models (v6, GT, Boss) have factory resonators on them while Shelbys don't?

They did it to quiet the exhaust down. Why? I don't know. The 2011+ have the quietest exhausts ever. They probably figured a GT500 owner wouldn't care about it being quiet, and a V6/GT owner is more apt to daily drive the car and want it quieter...the resonators don't just eliminate drone, they also quiet the exhaust down quite a bit. With aftermarket axle backs, the propensity of drone occurring is much higher, so the resonators act as a safety net for people who change their axle backs and are unhappy with the noise level.

I Pretty sure that SVT 500 MUFFS R diff. that non supercharged muffs. SVT needs more back pressure so resonators R prolly in them.
