Boss 302 manifold or Long tubes?

Getting all the basic bolt ons for my new car this week. Having trouble deciding which of the two would be the best bang for the buck right now. Im mostly worried about lowering my e.t's at the track. Ive read mixed reviews on gains from both so thats not helping my decision at all.

I'm confused. Your name is 2010GT. So if you want a Boss intake then you must have a 2011 or 2012.

I would go for the intake now knowing I'd be doing LTs in the future anyway. Better air flow in and better air flow out. Should breath awesome in the high revs.

Go long tubes first. Wait for some better tunes for the Boss intake and I don't think you will gain much until you have long tubes anyway.

Let's not be so sure. One should never underestimate the power of hot glue and duct tape.

From your two choices I'd go Long Tubes!

I use to have a 2010 . I picked up a 2011 on friday. I knew this stupid user name would make people think that lol. Thats it im changing it And I have decided to go for the longtubes for now since I'm looking for solid gains all around vs 6500 and up. But for the price of the boss intake its hard to refuse getting one.

I think it also depends on volume preference. If I didn't have to sometimes have clients in my car I would go further with exhaust ala long tubes and x pipe.

Sounds like u don't have that prob. I would go off road x pipe, boss manifold and l&m 82mm throttle body. Total is still cheaper than just long tubes.

Stock header isn't weak link. U will get most bang fir buck with orx tune and l&m throttle

Then if u want the 57whp top end boss 302 man

Yeah but thoes gains are only being achieved when a car has longtubes. Plus I did notice that American muscles shop car with the boss 302 manifold only ran like .04 quicker then when they had stock manifold. However without question I do believe in the manifold and it's certainly on my list I just think my butt dyno might appreciate the headers more.

It all depends on what your plans are for the vehicle down the road. If you plan on going forced induction at some point in the next few months, go with the manifold. We found that we could minimize the amount of horsepower and torque that you lose low-mid range and we picked up as much as 58RWHP top end, naturally aspirated with only a JLT intake, stock manifolds and an off-road X-pipe on our Auto 2011 GT.

Here's the dyno graph:

With that being said, we also picked up SUBSTANTIALLY throughout the entire curve when we combined the manifold with 150 shot of nitrous. We ran 150 shot through it, and were able to go 10.43 this weekend at the track, stock trans, stock converter, stock manifolds.

The dyno is impressive without question. But I want to ask you this. Do you think for a street car losing the low end torque off the line is worth it? Is it worth the trade for the top end hp? I feel like the manifold would be better for a car running a shorter gear. Im not against losing 15 lbs of tq for 50hp top end but im not sure a car geared less then a 3.73 will really be able to make up the loss. My car has 3.55's.
