Boss 302 Exhaust on a 2013 GT

Anyone put a Boss 302 Exhaust GT on a 13 GT? Seems you can get this exhaust from Ford Racing at a reasonable cost.

Lots of people have done it, just look on youtube.

There is an even cheaper way to do it, http://www.stainlessworks.net/produc...-exhausts.html

Yes, many have done this with their GTs. Below are a pixs of my 2013 with the Boss 302 h-pipe with side pipes. I also upgraded to a Magnaflow Street Series axle back. You'll notice I added the Boss 302 rear diffuser too. The Magnaflows and sides pipes without restrictor plates sounds awesome, better than my 2012 Boss with just the restrictor plates removed.

I know the Boss sounds great (have a friend with the LS edition) but why change the exhaust to the Boss when you could get an axle back or cat-back? Just curious about people's logic.... I'd prefer to save weight and go either the cat-back or axle-back route

All you have to do is listen to the clips on youtube to know why, they just sound killer, especially when combined with some of those axle-back's that you speak of.

I agree they sound great, have heard a Boss various times on a couple road courses... I guess I don't know if the sound is worth the extra piping and no axle-back or cat-back exhaust system sounds as good? I'll have to do some more youtube listening and comparisons

Thanks for the responses, much appreciated. Now to think about the Boss exhaust or axle backs or both - leaning to both.

Not worried about a few extra pounds - don't race - just enjoying.

Videos of GT500 AB's with Boss sound pipes? I'm sure I could find some on Youtube with some searching, anyone have one to share real quick?

I disagree. I think it sounds extremely tinny. I like that its roughly half the price. However it sounds cheap, no where near as good as the boss. And you have to drill a hole in your stock piping to install it.

Would this mod require a tune or would the stock system behave with the Boss side pipes?

I'm also thinking of the QTP electric cutouts; anyone running those?

You would not need a tune when adding the Boss H pipe. Not needed for any axle back swap either.
