Borla Cat Back

Hey everyone,
Wanted to get your opinions on this idea. Currently Im running the gt 500 mufflers on my 2012 GT but I'm looking for some more sound. I've been looking at the JBA OTA pipes but for a couple hundred more I could buy the borla x pipe and OTA pipes. Has anyone ever used this cat back with the gt 500 mufflers? Fitment could be an issue. Thought this might be a good option rather than just buying OTA pipes. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Still have the stock over axle pipes? If so just go to a muffler shop and have them cut the resonators out for straight piping. The resonators choke down to 2" internally and cutting them off will.make a HUGE difference with how loud the car is. It dosnt change the tone as much as you would think. Just deeper and louder.

I've thought about just getting the resonators cut out, but I think I would like to add an x pipe and also not hack up the stock pipe. Honestly I stay pretty busy with work and it would be easier for me to just get an exhaust kit and put it on myself rather than take the car to a shop. I just wanted to see if anyone is running Borla cat back pipe with the GT500 mufflers. I just did some research and the cat back pipe from Jegs is $540 with free shipping.

Wow.... almost sound like an earlier version than me. I don't have the link right now, but do a quick search for my thread "My new Borlas have arrived". I, like you, had the GT500s for a year. Great, but needed "louder". I may plan to get the Borla OTA and X pipe (to complete the "catback" setup) sometime, but for now, the Borla S Types are plenty loud enough, with an undeniably sexy tone. It's about 75% louder than the GT500's.
