7200 is the rev limit. Hits it easy if your not careful.

nice, that's 6-7 mph extra in 4th gear with the stock tires and 3.73s assuming it was previously at 6850 rpm

it sure does rev quickly instead of laboring up at 7k, more like a sportbike than a car

I trust those were all computer generated images from a closed road while operating under the local speed limits...

God. I cannot believe how quickly that thing busts through those gears. And the sound....sweet Jesus.

Is that "just" a CAI and tune? (ie stock exhaust?) It sounds fabulous and looks, er, rather quick

In the first video I'm flat shifting the car, meaning I'm not lifting my right foot just stabbing the clutch and rowing thru the gears.

Yes, just the MMR CAI and one of our custom tunes. Everything else is stock. Track results coming after todays dyno session with the MMR CAI with and without our custom tune.

Cool. I can't get enough of threads like this.

How about a custom tune with stock air intake, or have I missed that already?

I could tell from the little throttle blip in between gear changes. What I was referring too was how quickly it pulls through each gear. I wish you could get some acceleration times with the new CAI and tune. So is it sounding like the MMR piece is worth it, with a good custom tune?

Side note, while that sounds awesome...the Coyote still doesn't have that snarly growl that the old 4.6 (2v and 4v) had when you lift off the throttle. Maybe it does outside the car or maybe an O/R X will do it, but I don't think I'll ever be able to shake the sound of full Bassani exhaust on a SN95 Cobra/Mach 1. Hopefully we'll hear some good aftermarket exhausts soon. IMO, the S197 needs a mid-muffler setup to sound best.

But um...I wouldn't kick that car out of my driveway, that's for **** sure!

The car definitely sounds more smooth & exotic than the past mod motors.
