Best exhaust

I'm looking to put a beefier exhaust setup on my 2013 5.0. I want something that is louder with a good idle rumble, but still had a quality sound.

I have super 44s on my f150, but they have a easier pitch. I've heard borla makes a good exhaust for stangs. Any tips?

A search will get you all the results you need. There are hundreds of threads on exhaust alone already. There is no "best".

I had the Flowmaster Outlaw axle-backs on my 2012 5.0, they sounded great and really ripped, nothing special at idle though. I upgraded to the Magnaflow 3" Competition cat-back on my current 2011 5.0, same volume/db output but the Magnaflow system is much more refined, less of a rough bark, more of a consistent and deep pitch. The biggest differences that I noticed was that the Flowmasters had considerably more highway drone, and that the Magnaflow system sounded much more robust at idle. Only two, and only an opinion, just my two cents.

Thanks for the inputs guys. I did some searching today and found a couple I liked. I really liked the borla s type catback and the roush axle back. Haven't listened to any that you guys recommended so I will check them out.

The before sounded awful, but the after sounded pretty good. I liked the idle rumble particularly.

Do yourself a favor and plug a nice stereo system into your computer and then head to youtube.

Exhaust is one of those things where every single person has their own opinion on what they like best. You'll just have to listen to all the examples you can until you hear the one that works for you.

All that said, I prefer magnaflow products myself.

All comes down to personal preference. Browse youtube to get some idea's of different sounds.

Im running the Kooks/Steeda axle-back, I like it so far. Very high quality stuff and the muffler tips are one of the best looking out there

I have to agree on this one. While I don't find this set up to have the most "classic muscle car" flavor, it sounds ferocious and exotic...not overly artificial like some of the other choices out there.

I'm looking for the muscle car sound. What do you think offers the best one?

My setup, Boss 302 H-pipe with open side pipes and Magnaflow Street Series axle-backs, has that muscle car sound, without a doubt. Unfortunately, I don't have any video with sound to share.

SoFlaBoss is probably right.
I have that Boss H pipe/side exits but with the GT500s out back...still, probably similar. It sounds so great from behind the wheels, it will curl your toes.
Definitely "muscle car" but still raw and natural...no synthetic tones or resonance added. Plus, you can put the baffles in the side pipes if you want to go stealth once in a while (but you NEVER will).

I have a couple of video clips...I'll see about uploading them to Youtube but I can promise you that it sounds better than any video will show anyway.
