Has anybody taken the camera from the stock spoiler, and replaced it in an aftermarket spoiler? I would like to put it in the GT500 spoiler.

 

I'm interested in this too. Those of us who do not want to lose our backup camera but want an aftermarket spoiler seem to be SOL.

 

Older thread, but I plan to get an aluminum spoiler and to move the camera into the trunk lid somewhere. Ideas welcome.

 

Looking for the same information, I seen a thread here or on SVT Performance about someone that did this. But I can't find it, been searching but coming up empty.

May take my camera off the old spoiler this weekend and see if I can find a good way to mount it.

 

Can you take pic's so I might be able to come up with some ideas on where to move the camera?

 

I checked about removing the camera from my old spoiler, but since I replaced the whole trunk lid w/spoiler I can't access the 2 screws that hold the camera to the spoiler without removing the spoiler from the old trunk lid. At this time I don't plan on seperating them.

I may seperate them at a later date or I may just check on the price of just the camera next summer.

 

Couple of my friends wants to install the GT500 spoiler and maintain the camera but no ideas yet. One of them has already ordered and received the GT500 spoiler

I even wonder why the GT500 doesn't come with the camera as an option.
