Supposed to provide much faster throttle response, like a mechanical connection to the throttle...anyone have this?

For that price I would just go with a tune that will increase the pedal response.

I might be wrong but I believe they make them for European cars. If it is the same company, I don't believe there is much difference. I think most drivers adjust to the response of the vehicle. From my experience driving a friends vw gti with it and my other friends without it, it didn't seem worth it.

They were available for my 07 335i tt coupe.Connected to the gas pedal sensor to increase the drive by wire throttle response.
