My bad. It must be in the wrong section. Maybe someone can fix that.
That is still a lot of horsepower from a 5.0/302 (apparently without TiVCT, EPAS, ?);
and in a 2011 GT that weighs about the same as a 1964 6cyl.
If he's got the tires for the track, he could make same great times. And a lot of smoke!

Haha, the engine shares 0 parts with the old mod motors. Regardless if they are considered mod motor or not we need a new name to call the coyote and onward, modular is the name for the old engines.

If you could swap heads and/or block from a coyote over to a 3v modular then i would totally agree, but only sharing bore spacing and deck height while being made on the same tooling doesn't cut it for me.

I'd call it MOD2 or MOD GEN2 in that case to differentiate it from the previous gen. of engine families.
This is a brand new engine built on the same of modular line.
In most cases you'll see it just refered to as either its codename (to help differentiate it from the various other 5L engines) or the 5L TiVCT 4v

Fixed...

But you're right, like you said, this is a just a new version of the old 4.6 engine built on the same modular line.

I know how to do that too.
