5.0 lowered with FRPP P Springs

I just had them installed. The ride is slightly harsher but the handling is improved and the steering is sharper. The car didnt need an alignment due to only being 1 inch drop. I will probably install struts and shocks in the future. Heres some pics.

Did you check the alignment? Mine toed out a bit when I put the P springs on (why the steering feels "sharper")....... You're headed in the same direction I went in...Springs alone are not the perfect solution...Shocks and a little camber correction has mine dialed in nicely now..

I would definitely get the alignment checked. Mine needed it with the Steeda Sport Springs (1 1/4" rear, 1" front). It needed an alignment but did not need camber bolts because it was within spec. I guarantee you your toe is out. An $89 alignment is much cheaper than new tires.

Thanks for the warning regarding alignment. The shop said it was within spec. Ill ask them again to be sure.

If your alignment shop has told you it is within spec, then you're probably good to go. I just wanted to make sure that one of the omniscient internet mechanics didn't just tell you those springs didn't need an alignment. It's probably free to have your shop check it just to make sure.

Yeah...Many skip (ignore) this part... I do my own alignments with toe plates and a digital camber gauge. On toe, it took 1/4 turn on each arm to get it back to "0" scrub. Camber came in at -1.2 degrees which is technically in spec (-.75 +/- .5). 1/4 turn on a set of Camber bolts has it at -.9 which is a good street setting IMO..

Good mod. When I did mine I had the alignment shop check and it was slightly out, meaning that the would incur more tire wear, not drastic, but advanced wear none the less.
Given the price of these tires anything that prolongs the life of them is a worth while investment. Interestingly, when I had the Whipple SC installed the added weight on the front caused a slight TOE issue which was easily corrected (for free) I might add at my local shop. But all worth it as the handling is awesome, equal to the Roush Stage 3 that I had a few years ago.

I had it done at my local Ford dealer where I have all of my work done. I talked to them and they said it was within spec so Im not going to worry about it. Chances are Ill put on more suspension parts, new wheels, and tires in the future and check alignment again. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Can you take a straight on side view to show the wheel gap better? Overall it looks real good.

Sorry I dont have any side shots. The way the sun was reflecting that day it was hard to get a straight side shot.
