That will be nice.
"-Paint unpainted undercarriage components $30" What do you plan on using? I am thinking POR-15.
I don't drive my car in the rain and the axle housig still rusted fairly quickly. I may re-coat the factory k-member unless a replacement is available - have yet to see one for a 2011+. I replaced everything else.

Where are you pricing the Boss stripes from? Are they '12 style C stripes you are pricing or the '13 style?

I went to school with a Matt Black, didn't know he was making mustang parts lol.
Seriously that's quite a mod list. 285's on stock wheels will be pushing it though

i still haven't decided on what to use, pro-15 is a good choice, there are some products at eastwood.com for frame painting and a rear end, anything is better than bare metal rusting

it was just a guess for now, i was thinking GT500 stripes or the 2013 Boss side and top stripe, but they don't have that available yet, not that i have seen, but that would be nice on a SG i think, since they are not making a SG boss 302 it would cool i think

Sounds like a reasonable list of mods. I'd personally skip the caliper painting, etc...but I'm sure it will look good.

Where are you finding the quad exhaust for $500? The best I could find was $699...matched by American Muscle.

Regardless, it was worth every penny.

^^I'm guessing he means the 2013 style quad tipped mufflers on the GT500.

I gotta say I think you missed a big drive experience enhancer by not including any one of the aftermarket short throw shifters and brackets. Believe me, it really makes a ton of difference and worth putting ahead of a lot of the other mods. Man-Machine Interfaces make all the difference! Seats, steering wheel, shifter ann **** and maybe pedals - you are going to touch these everyday you driver her. Just my thoughts.

You should also recommend you reconsider the metal shift **** as they retain a ton of heat! My black ball from SpeedDawg never gets too hot to touch even her in SoCal with the top down almost ever day. I've read a ton on this site about how the metal once can become scalding but, your choice.

i have seen some GT500 mufflers new for sale on ebay for about $500, but yes i was referring to the 2013 mufflers, sooner or later ill find a pair for about same price, I'm just hoping it will be a simple swap just like the 2012 mufflers are... with the exception of the new rear facial, because i don't think the bottom defuser is removable on the GT.. however, if its removable on the GT500 then there is always some modification that can be done to the GT in order to fit the piece.

i agree with you, i like the black one with stripes, ill actually consider that. the premium cars boots are different from regular GT boots, or is it the GT500 and boss 302 boots that are different?

do you mind sharing what extension that is, i know there is few different ones available but not sure what exactly is needed for the GT replacement.

as for the short throw, i don't know much about that, so I'm not sure how much work is involved to changing the short throw unit and if it can all be installed from the top or a lot of work from the belly? and plus there is few different ones available, honestly don't know what type would actually be needed?

i drove a GT500 and i loved how it shifts, wondering if it has an upgraded shifter kit or if it was just in my head?

Impressive list! I see a short throw shifter and some shocks in your future.

I put the AM short throw ($145) and it is a big improvement. Really all of them are big improvements. I used the Steeda bracket with had both a soft and hard insert ($75). The install is a breeze. Go to an auto hobby shop where you can use a lift. The bracket is two nuts and a retaining clip. The shifter is 4 bolts. There are a number of install videos but I took about 45 minutes, partially because the inner boot was hard to get on afterwards and I had to drop the rear bracket again. The boot adapter is from Grabber Pony and was about $30. They have them for both styles for the boots so you can take your pick. The ball was about $65 from Speed Dawg and I love it - lots of colors to choose from too. I liked my stock shifter at first but after a couple months it started to get harder to get it into gears smoothly. The shifter and bracket make it very precise and mechanical - never miss a shift now. Also it was starting to become easy to accidentally put it in reverse instead of first (a bad situation). You have to intentionally put it in reverse now!

It's a Wind Deflector

Flagstang - you obviously don't own a convertible. That is a wind deflector which cuts the airflow from blowing back by about 85%.
Personally I wear a hat but, I have lots of women friends with long, flowing hair and they don't complain about their hair getting all messed up because of this devise. It is my own design and works better than the frame and mesh ones, has a small footprint, and still lets you access the back seat freely. It removes with two quick release straps and stows easily in the trunk. It keeps the front seats warmer in the winter and allows enough flow to cool the lower areas of the seats in the summer. If you are intersted, just do a google search for wind deflector and there are a ton of dramatic videos of what these things do! Of course, mine is the clear choice!

And if you ever had a woman in it, your top was almost certainly up
Not your fault, obviously you do not live in convertible country anyway but, I admire you for driving with the top down in what was probably cold weather. I used to drive the '67 Firebird in the snowy winter of Rhode Island before I got out of Frozen Land! The picture was when I was stationed in Hawaii!

In the year I have owned this car, the top has been up less than two weeks so I probably had it down more than you could for the entire time you owned it. For me having a wind deflector just makes sense since I live in San Diego. I don't have to listen to the wife (or lady friends) complain like stuck pigs I get to enjoy my car even on a chilly morning winter's drive as I pass the LaCosta inlet and see Pacific Ocean on my left - SPECTACULAR VIEW!

Great mods! I personally would be thinking a blower vs $6k worth of smaller mods.

I tip my Hat to you Flagstang! I am definitely allergic to snow though - even looking at it on a mountain gives me chills LOL! Did you get rid of both ragtops or do you still have at least one of them? Here is my '04 which was fun to drive but lacked power. I see you defintely did a nice power upgrade! Kudos Brother!
