Dept. Of boost website says group buys are available. Anyway interested in forming a "MustangSource" group and doing a large purchase in late august or September?

So from what I read, correct me if I'm wrong but; I purchase the GT550 manifold from DOB. Use their throttle body and their radiator but the rest I can purchased used? I've seen a "new" M122 blower on eBay for $800. Maybe it's cheap Chinese stuff. I'm not 100% educated on the GT500 blower. Still trying to learn all I can about my options.

The Canadian dollar sucks right now, so even the TVS Roush Stage 2 installed by a local dealer is $8750. That's their quote on the ad for a Roush Stage 2 for the F-150.

A few mustang guys said their cost was just about $10,000 for dealer install.

I wouldn't mind getting some used parts and saving some cash where I can, and be all in for $4-5,000.

I'm starting a "worldwide" group buy for every and anyone in the next couple of days. It will run for 60 days. That puts the cut off date in early August.

I have no issue doing a MS group buy also.

Yes. Or a Stage II kit that comes with a M122, TB and CAI. Or a Stage III which is a complete kit with everything.

The most economical way is to purchase the "rest of the parts" yourself and build up a Stage I or II kit.

I've seen a "new" M122 blower on eBay for $800.
That price is high. I sell the blower, CAI and TB for $585 (that's the difference between the Stage I and II)

Maybe it's cheap Chinese stuff.
No such thing.

Piece of cake.

You know adrenaline rush you get right before a roller coaster takes off? Or you're about to see a new girl naked for the first time.
That's the feeling I get from reading this thread and thinking about supercharging my mustang!

I was reading the product page, it says that 2011 and early 2012 need some grinding to the timing cover.

Does anyone know if any cutting what so ever needs to be done on a 2013 GT model?

Has pricing been posted? Id like to see some options.

Also i believe lund will be doing the tuning... Do we need to already have a handheld tuner?

Two of the bosses need to be clipped off on the 13'. It takes about a minute with a swzall, 5min with a hack saw, 2min with a carbide bit in a die grinder and about 30min with a file.

Lund will have tunes. You can get a tuner from him or if you already have one use that.

Can you please post a link to the group buy and possibly include pricing!

If you have a copy of the install instructions i wouldn't mind checking them out as well.

Im interested in the "bosses" that need to be clipped.

Also this sounds like a very cost effective way to supercharge for guys that don't have big bucks to throw down. I see there were I A T numbers, but were there dyno numbers?

Haven't had it on the dyno yet. Been doing remote tuning with Lund. We're not concerned about power at all. It's making 9.5lb of boost and using ALL of the stock fuel pump, which is 560-570rwhp. The blower is spinning really slow too (which is a good thing). It's spinning 17% slower than a stock GT500. IDK how much it is good for all stretched out on a Yote but I would be surprised if it wasn't about 665-675rwhp.

So apparently there are issues with the injectors? Was that just with the S550 or S197?

The only issue was the original ones used for testing was they were too small (GT500 47lb'rs). Switched to the 13' GT500 55's and all is good. Had to start tuning over again though.

Last data runs this Saturday then group buy starts.

Still having data transfer function issues with the 2015 tune. We made some software updates over the past few days and changed where some signals are coming from. More runs tomorrow night.

This tuning thing on the new car is frustrating. If we did the first kit on a S197 we would have been done months ago.

My buddy did a Bolton procharger it, cost him around 5k but really clean install looks great. Now ! He has 2012 Boss & suppose to handle 800hp on stock block but clutch would need upgrade so he stood with around 600-650 hp. If your stock block GT is in good shape then don't push it past 500-550 hp the crank & rods won't be safe after that. I hve lightning with SS Crank but stock rods R the weak point so, I don't push it beyond 13lbs boost4 lb pulley & 4way tune. One big issue with superchargers R detonation you better hve a good tuner or YOU will grenade block also a safe cold weather tune is essential less timing more fuel. TYI
