Title pretty much covers it (edit: I see I left out the all important word: supercharger). I can get a bunch of GT500 takeoffs, most of which I can use but need to know if the supercharger is of any use to me.

From: CenTex...sort of
If you have the appropriate intake and TB to go with it, you can install the TVS on a 5.0, sure. You'll have to have it tuned for FI though.

I thought there was no such intake available..one that would fit a 5.0 block to a 5.8 design blower?

Department of Boost is shortly releasing the GT550 manifold, which is what you need to put the GT500 blower on a Coyote engine.

So the mounting surface of the GT500 blower manifold fits atop the 5.0, bolt points and all? Do you have to do anything else like grinding the timing cover, etc etc.? How about the crank/idler/bracket pulley setup? Would that bolt on?

It won't fit. That's why DOB is releasing a GT550 manifold to put the GT500 blower onto a coyote engine. Not cheap, but after all you can get a great setup for around $4K total...

Need to clear the air here...this will NOT WORK without a custom manifold such as the Department of Boost one mentioned above.

550rwhp set up mild. 650-675 leaned on with the M122. With the 2.3L TVS as much as 850ish.

^ yep... I'm definitely in the "mild" set up @550rwhp. Rightfully so. I wanted that mild setup for drivability and longevity. Some days though, I wonder what 650rwhp would feel like

Meh, without a ton of traction not very different. There is a certain point where it's just bragging rights. Just north of 550 the fun/daily driverable/$$$$ ratio gets all screwed up. I have a 1000+hp street car. I never drive it.

You have a 1000hp car but don't drive it? How come? Traction issues?

I drive it, just not very much. It's not like you want to pop up to the store with it. Too much of a PITA to monitor and manage everything that goes along with that sort of power.

Yes it has traction issues. But nothing that makes a 1000hp doesn't. But I like it that way. I'm never more happy than when the tires are spinning at over 100mph.
