Where have you heard that?

No plans for a sheet metal intake. the Boss intake is going to work great.

 

Engine in. Still lots left to do but we are making good progress

There was a video on youtube of a supercharged 5.0, showing that the sides of the intake would flex under boost; also, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that someone has cracked one under boost, as well.

 

I haven't seen those. Guess we will find out soon enough!


Anyone seen a fuel setup like this?

 

wtf..... empty a 50gallon drum in 8 seconds

Get a GoPro camera or Contour HD camera, suction it under hood, it can record the intake to see if they flex, I Just got one to do some recording, it is pretty slick and records in HD.

 

I've used go pros a lot but was thinking of picking up a contour + to try those out.

 

I imagine it would be infinitely easier to just have someone look at the intake while it's running on the dyno

 

Ill have some footage of an autocross with it next weekend, Ill send you a HD clip of it to show you what it can do.

Got the drag wheels on. I broke down and agreed to put skinnies on the front.






I can't wait to show you guys pictures of the cutouts. They turned out awesome. Jake is finishing them up tomorrow and I'll post up the pics. We will probably offer the electric cutouts as an option on the kit after seeing how it all fits so nicely.

Finished up the car yesterday





At Bradenton now, creeping up on it. Having a little trouble getting the 60 ft right with the new cams etc. But here is where we are at so far. This is on 16 psi

 

holy crap.....almost in the 9s.. if you get your 60ft down, you will be there!!!

 

That things already in the 9's IMO. There is at least two tenths to be gained in the 60 and that will get you down to a high 9.80
