2011 Auto dimming mirror question

Question for the those of you with a 2011 with Sync and a auto dimming mirror with the built in mic. Do you have a green light on your auto dimming mirror indicating it's on? I ask because I don't think my mirror is diming! As I sit in evening traffic with a car behind me with his lights on, I can put my fingers over both sensors and wait at least a minute or more and there is no change that I can see! How well does your auto dimming mirror work?

No green light for me, and no dimming either. I'm pretty sure we are doing something horribly wrong....

I've got the Sync and dimming mirror, but do not have any issues. I do not have a green light either. Not sure it is supposed to have a green light.

Unhappy

Same problem here, also sync systems stinks, most of the time it does not follow voice comand. Have taken car to dealer twice, I don't see any improvement. After the window tint was installed solved my problem with the rear car headlights blinding me.

My sync works awesome, I have a BB Tour.

My auto dimming works wonderful on the inside mirror. The side mirrors I dont believe are dimming. When I look back in traffic all i see are headlights, everything is dimmed. When they pass me, they are hella bright in the side mirrors, so i know its working. Also, when I put my sunshade up, the mirror goes black, lol.

I was wondering where the mic was. Good to know.

Well at least it's a little comforting to know that I'm not the only one with a worthless rear view mirror! I did tint my windows too, but even with the windows tinted some lights are blinding!!! Has anyone found and aftermarket mirror that has auto dim, mic & Home link?

Auto dimming and Sync work fine on mine, but I've never noticed a green light.

Same here. If you look at the headlights in the rearview, then look at the headlights in your side mirrors you should see a noticeable difference at night.

My SYNC works beautifully too, I'm using iPod Touch and Moto Droid.

Same here... The auto dimming mirror worked before and after the tint. No green light either.

My works a little too well lol, but its better than getting a headache from getting blinded by everybodie's HIDs.

I vaguely remember there being a green light on. I will check on my drive home tonight and let you know. Also my sync follows my commands perfectly. I even have my little sister say the commands from the back seat for fun

I have one, I think. Sometimes when I look back the car's lights are white, other times green. I don't want them to be green. There's no way to stop this, is there? Haven't noticed the green light. I don't drive much @ night, though.

I have an auto dimming mirror out of a Dokata in my mustang and the Mirror goes dark green when dimming. I think this is just the technology they use. I could be wrong I'm only familiar with the Dodge mirror and not Fords.

The dimming mirror in the Mustang stinks. I bought a OEM accessory mirror for my Mazda Tribute and it works much, much better. I'm pretty sure Mazda uses the same domestic windsheild button mounts as Ford.

I think the Mazda ones are made by Mito (not sure about the 'Stang)

Mine works but I don't remember a green light as for sync it works perfectly and I have the new iPod nano connected. Does everyone have the latest version of Microsoft sync 3.2 ? I believe it came out in august or September i'm wondering if that might be some of the issues here with the sync being buggy with some and not others.

Mine sucks doesn't work worth a ****, sometimes works when the top is down. There is no light, and can't change it because Sync mike is in it. Ford should be ashamed.

Mine works fine. I've noticed that it doesn't work till the car behind me gets a certain distance from my car. Sitting at a red light and taking off it doesn't work. But once I get some distance from the car behind it'll work perfect.
