Someone with a 2010-11 GT, please help.
I ordered a Mustang GT front bumper for my V6 (Got a GREAT deal on it, btw). Well, it said the only part needed is the Grille Surround piece. I went to my Ford dealership to order the part. And when I did, he told me that it was painted to match the body color, because it comes primed. I thought it was just a piece of plastic that was the color of the bottom insert? Or is he just telling me that? ..After, that I drove through the lot and looked at the GTs, the piece doesn't look painted. So, my question is, Does this piece need to be painted?
I know this may not be the correct place for this post, but I didn't figure anyone exploring the V6 section would know. Thanks in advance.

If I understand you correctly, you are right -- the standard grill surround on the GT is black plastic, not painted body color. Mine looks just like the one on the red candy GT in the header of this web page.
(The grill surround is the piece between the grill and the turn signals / headlights, right?)
On your car in your avatar it appears to be painted white, so they probably think you want to keep it that way . . . or maybe they are confusing it with the GT/CS package and/or the MCA package on the V6, both of which come with body color grille surround if I remember correctly.
My best guess is that you want to make sure that you order the non-primed non-painted version, not the primed/painted version . . . assuming that you want the black plastic look. Some folks think the black plastic looks lousy but I think it looks fine.

Thanks for the replies! I've been so worried about this. Bert, you're correct, I'm talking about that surrounding piece. I honestly thought at first that the guys in parts (very rude) where trying to rook me when they told me it had to be painted. I actually love the plastic look. I don't mind it. I'm going to the dealership where I got my car and I'm going to see about ordering it non-primed/non-painted. Thank you so much for the help!
dmhimes: Do you think we could work something out? Through like PayPal or something?

Not sure if I would want to sell just the surround ... I have the entire grill/surround/fogs (no bulbs) and Black Chrome Pony. You can PM me an offer if you want ... you pay Shipping.
