I was hoping someone might be able to provide some clarity on my tuning device. It's a SCT Rev X. I have a tune from Lito which I love and definitely woke up my 2010 GT. I've been running it for about 4 months and it's been great. Today I was tying to figure out how to change some of the gauge options because I wanted to add a couple that weren't already in my layout. Anyway I noticed my SCT configuration was checked at 'Ford Gas 07 and Prior' but I am thinking it should be 'Ford Gas 08 Newer'... is that right? Will that affect my tune from Lito if I change that option from 07 to 08?

Not sure, but I don't think that will affect your tune. if I understand correctly (which I might not) that setting is specific to datalogging and gages; I don't see how it could affect the tune, which is written by Lito and downloaded to the car through a different screen.

I don't have direct experience with that specific tuner, so maybe someone else will chime in who does; but 08 and Newer definitely makes sense to me.

 

Thanks for the reply Bert. I contacted SCT and they said it wouldn't hurt the tune by changing it to 08 and newer, which I did but I now I'm not able to check STFT or LTFT anymore... not even an option in the gauge choices. Lito sent me another config file to check those fuel trims out in more detail. I haven't tried it yet because it needs to be pulled from the laptop software and I haven't gotten around to updating mine just yet.
