Can you use the SCT Strategy Flash Device with a ATI Procharger, or would you have have to do a software upgrade to the regular SCT X-Calibrator 2 and use a custom tune on it so the tuning will work right for the supercharger?

I was under the impression that the SCT flash device was just a newer version of the xcalibrator 2, but more powerfull??

I could be wrong but thats the impression i got.

 

I have the same impression too,but I still need an answer to my question before I go buy the Strategy Flash Device and find out you can't use it to tune new gears,forced induction,cai's,headers,x pipes,etc.

 

I got mine today, it has canned tunes for 87, 91, 93 octane with the stock air box or the steeda cold air kit. you can tune for gears and tire sizes. much past that you would need to reflash the device to turn it in to a standard x2 to be used with custom tunes.

 

You will need to get a custom tune (dyno tune perfered), but yes to answer your question, it can be used, BUT it will need to be cleared first, making it a 9400 tuner/ Then your tuner (human kind) will be able to use it.

So it's essentially the same tuner as the Xc2 but with canned tunes from the manufacturer or whoever cutom made it for their parts. Not like doug (bamachips) who custom makes the tunes and then loads them to it.

 

The tunes for the Strategy Flash 9415-A are preloaded by SCT If you purchase the Strategy flash 9415-ST that version is preloaded by SCT for the Steeda cold air kit and charge motion plate parts (only)

My SF device actually has options for several Cold Air kits including K&N and JLT just to name a couple. Of course it would need a custom tune for a supercharger though.

 

Your correct, the standard 9415-A SF has options for several Cold Air kits such as C&L, JLT, DEMOLET, STEEDA, WMS, K&N, PHP and JMS..However, the 9415-ST SF version is for the Steeda cold air and charge motion plates (ONLY) it's considered as a custom tuner for just the Steeda cold air..
