Yes you can use a tune from someone other than the one that came on the SCT tuner. They would email it to you and you have to load onto the device. When using someone else tune you should return the car to stock before flashing in the new tune so you don't get a hybrid of both tunes.

does the SCT just load tunes. can you check anything else on the car. I installed the steeda CAI and loaded a steeda tune with the SCT and always wonder about A/F ratio. Is there anyway to use this tool to check it on a 2012.
Thanks in advance Guys!

Yes, your car comes from the factory with wideband O2 sensors, so A/F is available through the OBDII port. Look for a datalogging menu on your SCT device or install SCT Livelink to a laptop and use your SCT device as a bridge between it and the car.

First off thank you for the QUICK response. Second, I'm not the best with automotive and computers.
correct me if I'm wrong, Start the car and plug in SCT tuner into the OBDII port. select the SCT to datalogging and then what. do I have to drive the car or just sit there ideling. will the SCT give me numbers as soon as I plug it in.
Also and I feel bad about this.... but what should the safe numbers be.
Again I thank you for patience. car is stock except for CAI and cat delete.
