You could probably make it work but there would be some parts needed that won't be on the 2010 car. Plus the long snake of a air inlet on the 2009 setup looks goofy.

JDM Engineering has a great tune for the SuperShaker on a 2010, Jim Jr. had one on his 2010 when it still had the stock motor in it.
That's good to know .... JDM is who is supplying my SuperShaker and the tune for it!

They are special ordering it with the 2010 version of the InterCooler so I don't have to trim my bumper cover.

Yep I found this out too. I'm going to be doing the install with a friend and I'm really looking forward to the project.

Self install and keep warranty ... that is awesome!!! Do they make you take it to a Roush Dealer to verify the install after you do it yourself?

Not a bad idea but no the rep did not mention that at all so I'd assume it's not required but I may do it any ways. Also, how did the topic move to 2005-2009 superchargers?

dmhines is getting a Saleen Supershaker for 2005-2009. I didn't think it would work at first, but overall it's the same engine so I can't see why it would be an issue to making it work. There is a 2010 specific kit for the Saleen supercharger that uses the stock airbox and sound induction tube. I haven't seen one for the Supershaker though.

Another important question, what tires are you guys looking at getting?

THat is correct .. like I mentioned previously Saleen does sell a 2010 475HP kit which includes the Saleen PCM programming. They do not market the SuperShaker for the 2010 and do not not have a PCM for it. It shouldn't be rocket science to make one since all they need to do is use the 2009 PCM code with the 2010 strategy. The Air Intake is identical on all SuperShakers so that should make it simple ... the 2010 factory CAI would make for a different tune on the standard VI kits so I can see why a specific 2010 tune is needed there.

The only thing need to make the SuperShaker work on a 2010 is:

1) A custom tune since Saleen won't provide one
2) A custom spacer plate to raise the scoop since the 2010 hood is taller. JDM supplies their custom spacer plate if you order the SuperShaker for a 2010.

A supercharger is a ways off in the future for me but I'm curious --

What is a "SuperShaker" ?

I'm guessing a blower with shaker hood scoop combination?

I don't see it on Saleen's web site . . .

You can Google it ... not sure why not a Saleen's website but any Saleen SpeedLab dealer can get them ....

dmhines, any idea how much boost and power you're going to go with for the JDM tune?

When I ordered it I told them to keep it conservative and that I would be happy with 420RWHP ... The SuperShaker comes with a 3.87 Pulley rated at 7-8 PSI ..

thanks for that, looks great . . . now I also understand the conversation about 2009 versus 2010 since this is not available specifically for 2010 car . . .

I guess it draws all intake air through the hood scoop, no other air intake under the hood? Now that's what a real hood scoop should be, and I guess you won't be driving it in the rain.

Yeah, all intake air through the scoop, but you definitely can drive it in rain, the inlet is baffled and has a cover for the air filter and there is a drain to take away any water that gets in.

They were making about 500 RWHP on Jim Jr's car on the stock motor.

Here's the vid of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SOQKF3vhns

And the saleen developement vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itByaO2xgEQ

cool vids, that explains it very well . . . they talk about "water management" which seems to suggest you can drive it in the rain . . . but probably wouldn't want to anyway . . . definitely looks like a great setup . . . one small drawback is you cannot use a strut tower brace, but not a big deal

I'm pretty sure they parted that SuperShaker out and no longer have it on that car .... I recall it being for sale on some message boards a while back with LOTS of mods that went with it to make all that power.

They must still have the hood because JDM tried to sell me the hood when I ordered my kit ... but I told them my hood already has a hole in it ready to go!

Only mod they did for the power was to use a smaller pulley to up the boost a little, that and the custom tune.

JDM knows how to get more power out of a supercharged stock bottom end 4.6 than anyone else around.

I wish saleen would make a supershaker for the new 5.0, doubt they will though. More than likely they will just go belly up and close up shop.

I'm guessing they would have also installed bigger injectors than the Saleen supplied 39lbs and also went with a GT500 Dual Pump since the standard super shaker kit uses the factory pump.

I just emailed JDM about their intercooler reservoir setup in the video. I am wanting to do that so something fills up the empty corner when I remove my factory air box.
