Lightbulb 2013 Exhausts on a 2010

Just in the thinking stage right now, Probably wont do a full $2000+ rear end swap until summer.

I just picked up a beautiful 2010 GT 401A about a month ago and I am thinking about swapping rear bumpers for a 2013 GT/CS / Boss 302 / GT500. I was looking at installing either the Roush square tips or gt500 axle-backs and I was wondering how complicated that is with the 2010s? I did it fairly easy to my 2012 v6 but all the mounts are in the same spot.

I think with the Roush square tips I could buy the v6 variant to get the 2.5" pipe. But that still leaves me with the issue of the different hanger locations.

I know LEXiiON has done this to his Beautiful snake so I'm hoping there is some info floating around on this that I missed.

I don;t think the 10-12 tailights fit properly with a 13-14 bumper.

Looks like if the rubber exhaust hangers are replaced with 11-14 one then you should be able to hang the newer style exhaust. Would probably need to do a cat-back system to avoid cutting the mufflers though.

The pipe clamps are definitely different between the 2010- and the 2011+, and I think the hangers are different also.

To avoid cutting and welding and making it really difficult to change things in the future, I think I would go 2010 back to the mufflers and then maybe cut and weld on the square tips if you really want them.

The normal round 2010 tips would look really goofy with that bumper/fascia so they are not an option, right?

You need the new 11+ hangers. They bolt on easily, all the threads are there. You need 2011+ over the axle pipes and a reducer to mount it to the factory H-Pipe. I welded reducers on (after shortening the OTA pipes).
